What's happening in Ukraine is not right. Fighting brethren from fear of rhetoric for alternate ideologies.

Both "The West" and "The Eastern Bloc", have it wrong. "The West" affords little to Social Welfare out of some fear of Inadequacy which then stifles overall civil evolution, while "The Eastern Bloc" affords much too little towards personal achievement in favour of group benefit which has personal development mostly stifled or just lost amongst the enforced mediocrity.

I could see a government that has Protected Industries, where Secondary Education is set to ensure there is no shortage of qualified personnel: Industries like Primary food production, Municipal Social Housing Construction and Maintenance, Products Recycling Changing Resource Development and Cycling, just to name a few; Some of the workforce of such Protected Industries, would be unpaid work experience for people under support from Social Welfare programs, which would grant them Extra Social Resources in lieu of financial compensation. A government like this would still have a place for fixed-term-patents which would encourage a Darwin-esk style of Social growth, along with Technological and Commercial Market rivaling that of any Free Market.

There are better ways than War and Mass Murder, to share One's Pride in their own Culture whilst allowing other Cultures to grow and learn from your own without forcing your Ideologies on other peoples'.
Russia has every right to fear "The West" look at how "The West" was "won", by means of Mass Murder and Cultural Genocide, which "The West" still denies and refuses to seek and make Amends for or even refuses to honour agreements and alliances that gained them Liberty from the Crown/Crowns against which such Libel lives TODAY in documents like The Declaration of Independence of 1776, Libel that labels the British Crown, as "Tyrannical" for granting favour to the Indigenous Peoples on their historical homeland, while having subjugated in favour of actual eventual Genocide and actively seeking the Cultural Genocide the Indigenous populations that believed the false rhetoric of Peoples that called their allies "the merciless Indian Savages" and goes on to further deepen the definite Libel, of the Peoples that sought to protect them. Still residential schools happened, and if "The West" was willing to do this to hundreds of thousands of children, one can't even fathom what these "Countries" were willing to do to the adults. So, Russia has every right to be afraid, they would be stupid not to be afraid. Look what's being done after what has been done.

As tensions continue in Europe, along the edge of Asia, that concerns for the price of oil is gaining more light.

We can get so much more out of what we already have. Between planes trains and automobiles, we don't get much for what we waste. Geez. It's that "Heat" is the waste that I'm confused. Here's to internal combustion engines.

This headline brings me hope, hope that we might move past first past the past electoral system. But for Canadians who might not be comfortable with the sweeping change that might bring. "Swing seats" being only 30% of the House of Commons would be Representation by Popular vote, but that 30% would be given to the bottom 30% of the electoral parties, so the Green Party and other lies represented parties would get 3 seats for ever 1 percent of popular vote, while the remaining 70% of the House of Commons could maintain the First Past the Post system, allowing for people to still vote for their neighbour or friend.

Can this new pact actually push ahead its agenda — far more government spending and a greater crackdown on Canada's oil and gas industry?

I propose to the Archeological community, probably not the first to propose, that the Mediterranean Sea poured into what was a lowland at the foot hills around Mt. Etna, slowly over time, quietly displacing people, stirring up the many that would become the Sea people as referred to by the Egyptians.
