POLICE this morning will continue the search for a 54-year-old woman missing at Mossman Gorge just before 2 pm yesterday.
Police hold concerns for the woman's welfare after witness reports that she was swept downstream in the flooded waters.
Search and rescue efforts involving multiple crews and resources are currently being coordinated by police.
The search was postponed last night for safety reasons.
Police are in contact with the missing woman’s family.
The search continues this morning.

POLICE REPORT / Trespass arrest, Port Douglas

On Saturday (June 25), Port Douglas police charged a 65-year-old Port Douglas man with three counts of trespass.
Police will allege the man entered the residential property on three separate occasions between May 28 and June 11.
Police further allege the man was disturbed while peeking through windows and fled after occupants yelled at him.
He is scheduled to appear in the Mossman Magistrates Court on July 13.

The Reef Eye Ferris Wheel opens today, from 10am to 10pm, seven days a week, beside the Lagoon on the Cairns Esplanade.

FATAL TRAFFIC CRASH IN DAINTREE OVERNIGHT /
A man has died following a single vehicle traffic crash in the Daintree last night.
Initial investigations indicate approximately 9.50pm a car travelling along Cape Tribulation Road in Diwan has crashed into a fixed road sign.
A 39-year-old Diwan man, who was the sole occupant of the car was located deceased at the scene.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
