The generational attitude towards money has changed, and people are now excited to talk about investing. We are creating a platform where users can describe their portfolio, talk about their investment strategy, and passively gain equity in the platform by being active users.
Every consumer that uses a social media platform is getting scammed. Social Media companies claim that their websites are "free," but they mine and sell user data without letting users profit. To change that narrative, we are starting a social media platform that gives users equity in the company for being active and does not take user data without fair compensation.
Each month that a user uses the platform, they will receive equity in the company. Users will also receive equity for activities like referring friends. Equity incentives will create a natural cycle of growth, and we will work together to form a new type of network that profits with users instead of profiting off users. Our long-term goal is to expand the site to include direct investment options on-platform, along with shadow trading and alternative investment opportunities like crowdfunding.
At this point, we are in app development and are working to create a site. With this money, we will consult with a graphic designer (2k), do target market research (8k), and prepare for a launch marketing campaign (5k+).
To give some background about us, we are a group of recent college graduates and Seniors at Pomona College and Brown University. We have experience in social media app development, Investment Banking, and Venture Capital. We see raising a round of VC funding as a likely next step after our opening crowdfunding round.
