I met the photographer Mitchel Wu today. His work has been featured by Marvel, Disney+ and a gallery in New York.
He said he hopes to inspire other adults to follow their passions. He worked in product design and with Disney for years and it wasn’t until his fifties that he found toy photography!
Wu said he also wants to inspire children to get off of technology and get their hands dirty.
He uses practical effects with fireworks, compressed air and wires to create his pieces.

I was in Barnsdall just hours after the deadly EF-4 tornado brought devastation to the small community.
I’ve spent time here before when I was a reporter in Tulsa. It’s wild how a town feels so small with one road through, but then the destruction seems to be unending.
In less than a month, I’ve been in three communities where they are living through this havoc. Keep them, and the others, in mind. 💙

Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt confirms one person died in Sulphur’s tornado outbreak Saturday night.
Several people were inside a downtown bar when the storm came through and the building collapsed. A woman’s body was recovered from the rubble Sunday afternoon. I spoke to people who said their family members were inside when the building fell and had to be rushed to the hospital with serious injuries.
The town is in disarray. I’m sure some people are relieved to see their property untouched, while their neighbors are heartbroken. I hate tornado season.
So far, officials report four deaths across the state from the storms.
Anyone with private property damage is asked to report it to DAMAGE.OK.GOV.

Hello there!
We all have a story to tell and Jamison wants to share yours.
She uses interviews and visual storytelling to make a difference and impact others. From television news to documentaries to feature films, she sees an opportunity to connect people through media.
She grew up in McLoud, Oklahoma playing soccer, acting in school plays and competing is speech and debate. She didn’t travel far for college, attending Oklahoma City University and specializing in broadcast journalism. She also competed for her university’s speech and debate team, gaining state, national and international titles. Back on campus, she spent weekends helping Girls on the Run and the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition through her sorority Gamma Phi Beta.
After graduating from OCU in 2018, Jamison accepted a position at KAPP-KVEW Local News in Kennewick, Washington. She serves as a multimedia journalist, nightly news producer and online content creator. She uses her background in filmmaking and debate to share a variety of stories with viewers in the Pacific and Inland Northwest.
Filmmaking: A passion she didn’t know existed
Jamison studied nonfiction and fiction filmmaking in college and those classes opened more doors to even more creativity. She tackled every aspect of a story including writing, producing, directing and editing. Whether she was behind the camera, in front or both she took creative authority over her projects. That passion took Jamison outside of her university to work on more film projects. She has worked with TruTV, the National Basketball Association, Cannes Film Festival award winners and more.
Travel: Where to next?
The most important thing to Jamison is family, but travel and culture is second. While competing in speech and debate, Jamison traveled around the US and world for tournaments. Her favorite destination was Montreal, Canada. Although most of her travels were for school, she took several opportunities for road trips. One of the best, the Colorado mountains in Winter Park. Since living in Washington, her favorite trip was to Leavenworth, a beautiful Bavarian town with lots of charm.
