I’m finding that forming a strategy and executing a strategy are 2 completely different things.

My struggle with my creative process has been intense these past few weeks. I know exactly what I want for myself, it is the “getting there” that really is putting me on pause. I want to become a highly successful online beatmaker and I realized recently that the only way to become an ELITE level producer is to make beats every single day. It’s fundamentally a simple strategy and yet it feels like my capacity to execute this strategy is currently out of reach! It’s infuriating, really. All I gotta do is sit down, make a beat, upload it, and the day is done but sheesh! This s**t is hard!

In my brain’s attempt to achieve my big dreams, I created a little game for myself. The Apple Watch’s Activity meter has really influenced the way my game is set up. I will be working daily to build streaks and achieve mini games and milestones I set for myself. I am nervous but I believe declaring my true desires and intentions will demystify my goals and help me break down this grandiose (sometimes delusional) idea of living the life as a successful producer into daily habits that will give me a sense of fulfillment long after I achieve what I called “God Level” status.

These days, cultivating my power of will is GOAL #1. I fail often. But at least I’m doing something. I would rather try and fail than never try at all. At least this way, I am steeling my Power of Will for future successes.

I know, I normally do this in July but I’m going the extra mile this year and giving myself more challenges so that I can push myself to achieve in ways I never thought were possible. After I complete my 30 day beat challenges I always come out learning more, growing my audience, and my beats end up sounding fire every time by the end of the month!

Sometimes as an artist and an entrepreneur you have to shift gears to make your dreams a reality. What I learned is that, contrary to popular belief, a commercial recording studio is NOT the pinnacle of success in this industry. Sometimes, you can accomplish more from your bedroom than you could in a recording studio. The fanciest gear won’t make you a more effective artist. Sometimes going back to the basics to rebuild is exactly what you need.

I feel amazing about my 30 day beat challenge. I decided I’m gonna keep uploading beats every day and see how long I can keep up the streak! I’m excited to push myself to grow, and every day I’m so inspired by the other producers out there that figured out the 🔑🔑🔑

On day 29 of my 30 day beat challenge, I officially hit 1500 views on YouTube.
On June 13 (about 45 days ago) I hit 1000 views which means I got almost 500 views in the last 30 days. There isn’t any end in sight for me- ima just keep growing and releasing beats. If I keep releasing music, i will be successful- no doubt.
