Hi guys,
Just wanted to give you my 2 cents on the importance of using the right supplements when doing intense workouts...
I do professional sports for over 20 years. I don’t know if you know this, but professional athletes often have to deal with some unpleasant physical hardships. A couple of years back, I personally experienced some serious physical symptoms as a result of my workouts:
1 - Poor sleep quality – after a training day, I used to feel exhausted and in pain. These aches and pains reduced the quality of my sleep significantly. The main problem is that it becomes a vicious cycle - your body is not getting the proper rest it needs in order to recover, and then the situation even worsens, and so it goes on and on.
2 - Inflammation - injuries are a part of the game when doing sports. Actually, a significant part of training is dedicated to reducing potential damage to your body: warm up and stretching before workouts and a proper cooldown of the joints after workout. My knee will be happy to tell you all about it :)
3 - GI distress - Inflammation in the small and large intestines causes a lot of discomfort, and GI distress is one of the leading reasons endurance athletes drop out.
When I was first introduced to full-spectrum oils it was a bit of taboo supplement and I didn't really know anyone using it. After trying it for a few times I was amazed with the results.... first time I took it after practice I slept for 10 hours straight!
And I woke up with a much less aching body. I felt this supplement was exactly what I needed - extra fuel for proper recovery!
Fast forward 2 years, using full spectrum oils has become common practice worldwide, and the numbers keep on increasing due to the positive experience people have with it. In sport you are always looking for those 1%ers in performance.
