I wish these signs were posted all over High Park.

If you are going to feed any wildlife, please do your research first and make sure that you are not doing more harm than good. You should NEVER feed coyotes or foxes. If you love wild animals you need to also understand and respect them.

The July issue features Jowi Taylor, the father of Six String Nation and conceiver of the Voyageur guitar. The guitar is made of 64 pieces of Canadian history. 30% of the items are contributions from First Nations, Inuit and Metis communities including the only piece ever taken from the legendary Golden Spruce - Kiidk'yaas - of Haida Gwaii which became the top of Voyageur - literally the face and voice of the guitar and everything it stands for. For a more fulsome explanation of the Indigenous contributions to the guitar see the Six String Nation FB page.

I was quite rightly called out for failing to acknowledge Pride Month in the Editor's Letter to Residents in the June issue of the magazine. I strive to make our magazine as reflective of our community as possible, but I have failed our 2SLGBTQ+ neighbours. I would like to change that. The July issue is already at the printer and I have completed the interview for the resident who will be featured in the August issue, but I would love to feature a couple from the 2SLGBTQ+ community on the cover of the September issue. Please contact me if you would like to nominate yourself or someone you know [email protected]
Wishing you all a Happy Pride! Patti

The Roncesvalles BIA has decided to hire a landscaping company to destroy all of the beautiful pollinator gardens that line Roncy and replace them with cookie-cutter landscaping for a "uniform" look.
This is disappointing to say the least. BIA stands for Business Improvement Area. How does this "improve" the area for business? It seems to me it just erases the unique character of the street while spending a lot of money that could be better used elsewhere. If it's not broken, and it wasn't, don't "fix" it.

I would like to thank the volunteer gardeners who created and maintained all of those beautiful, environmental gardens for so many years. This is a sad day for our neighbourhood.
