Nativity of The Blessed Virgin Mary
September 08
Nine months after Saint Anne's immaculate conception of the Virgin Mary (December), the Church celebrates the birth of Saint Anne to the Blessed Virgin Mary in Nazareth, Galilee. According to tradition and statements, the couple Saint Anne and Saint Joachim were mocked by the people because of their unworthy temple offerings, because they did not give a seed of the tribe to Israel. Because of this, they earnestly prayed to God to grant them a child so that they could also provide the seed of the tribe in Israel like their parents. Saint Joachim fasted for forty days (40) and nights while Saint Anne stayed at home and prayed fervently. Anne promised that if she had children, she would raise them and devote them to the service and service of the Lord. After this, the angel appeared to Anne and Joachim to tell them that God had heard their request and that they would conceive a child. Saint Anne gave birth to the baby girl and named 'Mary' who would be the Mother and would be the way of the human incarnation of the only Son of God.
Prayer to the Virgin Mary:
God our Father, grant us Your help and strength. The birth of the Virgin Mary with Your Only Son is the dawn of our salvation. May in our celebration of the birth of the Virgin Mary you bring us eternal peace and may the virtues she did imitate and develop in our lives, to love you and our neighbors more perfectly. Grant it to us through Christ our Lord. Amen. Happy Birthday Dear Virgin Mary, our Mother!
