"I wrote this song in the summer, I was on the way to a session in Kingâs Cross and itâs a really hot day and this was my third session of the week. Iâd written some pretty decent tunes but I wanted to write something a little easier and a little more fun, just to chill out,â Butterjack recalls âI got to the studio and said, âI want to write a song called hot sauceâ â at first I think the guys were a bit weirded out but I explained it and it started to take shape. Itâs a pretty weird song title, but I wanted to demonstrate that feeling you get when you meet somebody for the first time, that electric like âWoah!â but with that real good feeling after. And Iâve now got a song out called Hot Sauce!â
