I ordinarily wouldn't make a post about the incident of this weekend as I actually do get impatient when people would remain in a space that's clearly negative for them. I simply cannot stand the oppression of myself or another person as a matter of personal principle and I believe things like that must never be condoned or excused on absolutely any grounds. We shouldn't be enablers of such evil, whether by culture or by religion. It's a NO!
The excerpts I've put together in this video were based on a totally unrelated matter that just happened to also touch on the subject of domestic violence, as well as the idea that a marriage is considered successful just because the parties continue to live together, whether happily or not.
How do people subscribe to those general perceptions that would rather please others and not themselves? I always believe one's sanity is of the utmost importance and should always come first. And then, not even to talk of safety.
It’s all working out too, as I already said to myself that now that I have more time on my hands, it’s a perfect time to talk about the things that we allow to hold us back.
Can we try to put away the fear of what would happen if we made the change we felt necessary in a situation? Difficult situations shouldn’t remain difficult situations- as much as possible, they should rather be a spring board to make us stronger.
