I'm proud to say that the album is already 70% complete, and I couldn't be happier with how it's shaping up. It's been a labor of love, and I've poured my heart and soul into every track.

COULD THIS BE LIQWIDIZA SISCO’S MOST UNDERRATED SONG?

Bazeguy Movement frontrunner Liqwidiza Sisco O.G is enjoying quiet a wave of success in the music industry. Rightfully so, the guy is one of the hardest working and most talented artists in the country, and the nation is finally giving him the attention he deserves.

We recently watched videos of Macky 2, APA NI KAY & Blood kid yvok vibing with his smash hit ‘Tatusobani’ which features Boy Kay Naneka fyee. Additionally, Sisco’s scorcher with 76 Drums has earned tens of thousands of views on streaming platforms and has been included on international editorial playlists.

Cuundu Music Reloaded decided to vibe with his catalog so we could write a definitive article on what we feel is his hottest record, and well... we couldn’t decide. The guy has too many hot records, and they feature some the biggest names in the industry: Yo Maps Yo, Jae Voiceyodula Cash, Chile One MrZambia, you name them!

So we instead set out to determine which of his jams we felt was the most slept on, and after days of analysis, I think we may have a clear winner - and its non other than ‘Banene’.

Yes the song received a lot of attention when it was released back in 2023, but we believe it should have gotten way more love than it received. Waaaay more.

On ‘Banene’, Sisco delivers some of the realest bars he has ever written, candidly detailing his struggles growing up while still mustering the charisma to keep you dancing and optimistic about the future.

And speaking about dancing, Dj Plash the o8 brought out his entire drum-set when cooking up the instrumental to this song. Its even difficult to describe what genre it falls under - its a classic crossover hip hop track with Kopala vibes and some Ama Piano overtones - pure musical genius.

The record also feature’s a verse from Sisco’s lyrical brother-in-arms, Chabo Klutch who comes through with a multi-lingual masterpiece of a verse that will have you reaching out for a dictionary.

IS MR CROWN STILL A CUUNDU ARTIST

Mr Crown has been a very busy man lately. In just the last 9 months, the artist also known as The Buffalo has managed to secure a string of hits with some of the biggest names in the Zambian music industry, some of which have gone viral abroad.

From dropping ‘My Baby’ with JEMAX to unleashing ‘Don’t Go Away’ with Yo Maps Yo and most recently ‘Umushe Wako’ with Triple M Zambia Not to mention the list of big production houses he has commissioned to record/produce his music and shoot his videos.

The Buffalo has come a long from where he was when he started making music in Southern Province in 2008, and it is clear that he has set his sites on exporting his music to other regions of the nation and the wider continent.

Cuundu Music Reloaded argues that this is evidenced by his decision to produce music in more languages than just Tonga, in addition to his insistence on working with established producers from municipalities such as Lusaka, whom he argues ‘produce a cleaner sound’.

His strategic moves have not been without their controversies, as some Cuundu music fans have accused Crown of alienating them from his music by singing in languages that they do not understand.

Additionally, producers in the province have cried foul, saying he has done them a huge disservice by alleging that their work is not good enough to play on the national stage.

Some have however praised him, saying his moves will help export Cuundu culture to the rest of the nation and help foster the spirit of unity by showing that Cuundu music is not defined by the language one sings in.

But as the Buffalo shoots for dominance on the national stage we can’t help but wonder how he will balance his desire to appeal to a wider audience with the need to stay true to his Southern roots.

Also, how will The Buffalo contribute to the growth of the Cuundu music scene if he is not willing to work with producers from within the province?

To his credit, Crown has been mobilising Southern artists and encouraging them to improve the quality of their projects so they can compete more favourably on the the national stage, through platforms such as Cuundu Counter Attack(a WhatsApp group for musicians).

He has also been encouraging artists to pool resources together so they can fund bigger projects, while also connecting them to key industry players in other parts of the country.

As we slowly enter the second half of 2024, we can’t wait to see what the Music Maker has in store for his fans.

The Southern rapper is one of the most creative acts in the game, boasting music production and graphic designs skills on top of his rapping prowess.

King Illest Worldwide King Illest Worldwide shocks Southern Province rap fans as he leaves out impacting rapper Liqwidiza Sisco O.G and Mr Crown who have been making the waves lately.

Radio sensation Dj Kip classic took it to AfroZam FM to ask why a multilingual artist like Liqwidiza Sisco who on basis has big songs in the province featuring Chile one, Neo Slayer, Boy Kay, Jae cash, Drifta Trek, Yo Maps and his recent Joy FM song with 76 Drums topping the chart as we quote, "Why are you and other multilingual artists always sidelined from Southern province events?"

The southern experience has only included a small part of musicians from a small area of the province, an area called Cuundu, selection criteria was not based on merit. Liqwidiza Sisco who has made it a mission to unite Zambia through rap, speaks 5 different languages including Tonga and Lozi has an amazing fan base and tens of thousands of streams on boomplay, this might be why it comes as a shock to Southern Province rap music fans who were eager to listen to Liqwidiza Siscos amazing catalogue at the Southern Experience. A true born and bred southerner Liqwidiza Sisco has been in the industry for many years, most people move out of the place that made them who they are but Liqwidiza Sisco refuses to move saying, "my heart is here and I'm not going anywhere."

Southern rapper, Spy dollar zambia has officially signed with the newly introduced Stag Records, marking a monumental moment for both the artist and the record label.

The Beef Gets Spicy: King Illest Claps Back at Jorzzi, Throws Shade at Bobby East and Sampa. 😱🔥

The Zambian hip hop scene is messier than a spilled plate of nshima right now! King Illest just fired back at Jorzzi's disses, and let's just say he came armed with receipts.

King Illest Worldwide just fired back at Jorzzi zm disses with a social media smackdown post that'll leave you reaching for the seat while you read 😅. He unleashed screenshots of their WhatsApp chat, and let's just say, it ain't pretty for Jorzzi.
Screenshots of their WhatsApp chat expose Jorzzi hitting King Illest up for a casual "loan" of 100 Kwacha for Gas. In a classic Matero style (you know Lusaka peeps will get this), Jorzzi tries to defend himself with a lame joke that he just LUMPADI him 😂. But wait, there's more!
The screenshots also reveal Jorzzi getting bounced from a King Illest show for looking, well, according to King Illest, "CRUSTY." Talk about adding insult to injury! King Illest's clearly having a field day before even touching the mic.
But the drama doesn't stop there. Another screenshot shows King Illest chatting with K'Chinga about the Jorzzi diss. Here's where things get messy: King Illest throws shade at Bobby East saying "If Money Talks, yours has a Lisp like Bobby East," and that things are "About to get Ugly like SAMPA THE GRATE type of Sh*t."

Whoa, shots fired at Sampa The Great ? King Illest basically called Sampa ugly! To add fuel to the fire, he claims Jorzzi dissed him because he got kicked out of his show. We all know King Illest's been taking jabs at Slapdee who's been ignoring him. But Bobby East? Apparently, Bobby's not one to let things slide.

After Bobby East caused a stir in the Zambian hip hop scene, King Illest decided to poke fun at him. But Bobby clapped back with a video message sporting an angry devil emoji and a warning: "Those of you who want to start a fight with me, you should know that I'm very bad mouthed." Is Bobby about to unleash a diss track? Only time will tell.

In the midst of all this chaos, Sampa the Great seems blissfully unbothered, probably busy cooking up hits destined for the Billboard charts.
