Coming up on Tuesday 2/7!

How do creative people find day jobs that allow them to be creative when they come home? You can't have a job that exhausts you mentally or even physically, otherwise you will never get to the real work. A couple weeks ago, Brian Whitney posted one of those Instagram prompts to his stories- this was a list of the many jobs he has taken in order to survive. These include job titles like: barista, sandwich artist, cashier, bin filler, and paraprofessional. I was immediately intrigued and knew he would be the perfect guest to have this conversation about creativity and work!

In this episode we'll find out how Brian has been able to earn and make space to be creative because in the interim, he has also been part of a few bands and has released a few albums of solo work.

His current official titles are videographer, marketing assistant and box office associate.

Check out his musical projects Wild Combo, and Harrison Sword on Spotify.

What started as a mercenary solution for bands to represent themselves as a collective became a vital record label - Nefarious Industries.

Tune in this Tuesday to hear my interview with CEO & cofounder of the label, Greg Meisenberg

Available on Spotify, SoundCloud, iHeartRadio and Apple Podcasts.

19/01/2023

Join me in a great convo with musician & cofounder and CEO of the record label Nefarious Industries, Greg Meisenberg. For over a decade, Nefarious Industries has yielded nearly 100 releases by more than 50 artists from all over the world playing a dizzying array of styles. Greg tells us the story of creating his record label out of nothing, trying to connect with people in this day and age where it's hard to get anyone's attention, and the fun of being on tour while managing the company.

And for close to 30 years- well, most of his life really- Greg has been a musician. He talks to us about his musical origins, how he came to drums and bass, and what allows him to continue going, being in service to music.

Available 1/24 on Spotify, SoundCloud, iHeartRadio and Apple Podcasts.

Coming up this Tuesday, Jerry Joseph and Leech Ernowetz.

Jerry and Lee are musicians and share somewhat similar backstories. This is probably the reason why I wanted to get them together and record their conversation.

Both started playing guitar at a young age and both are largely self-taught. Both played in multiple bands throughout their youth across a multitude of genres. And as you will hear on Tuesday, both consider the past, present and future in equal measure.

On 12/13, available on all podcast platforms including Spotify, SoundCloud, Apple Podcasts and iHeartRadio.

-The drive to keep going
-The future of music + AI
