Join me in a great convo with musician & cofounder and CEO of the record label Nefarious Industries, Greg Meisenberg. For over a decade, Nefarious Industries has yielded nearly 100 releases by more than 50 artists from all over the world playing a dizzying array of styles. Greg tells us the story of creating his record label out of nothing, trying to connect with people in this day and age where it's hard to get anyone's attention, and the fun of being on tour while managing the company.
And for close to 30 years- well, most of his life really- Greg has been a musician. He talks to us about his musical origins, how he came to drums and bass, and what allows him to continue going, being in service to music.
Available 1/24 on Spotify, SoundCloud, iHeartRadio and Apple Podcasts.
Coming up this Tuesday, Jerry Joseph and Leech Ernowetz.
Jerry and Lee are musicians and share somewhat similar backstories. This is probably the reason why I wanted to get them together and record their conversation.
Both started playing guitar at a young age and both are largely self-taught. Both played in multiple bands throughout their youth across a multitude of genres. And as you will hear on Tuesday, both consider the past, present and future in equal measure.
On 12/13, available on all podcast platforms including Spotify, SoundCloud, Apple Podcasts and iHeartRadio.

"So if I had to say what I write about, it's about identity. It's about woman's identity, a woman of color's identity growing up in a white western culture and the place we try to carve out for ourselves here."

Her nonfiction work has been published on Domino, Brick Underground and the Brooklyn Rail. She obtained her MLitt in Creative Writing from the ancient University of Glasgow.
Mayra herself is a liminal space- coming from three different cultures, knowing three different languages, and having grown up in three different countries. She is connected but she is also in-between.
She is currently submitting her fiction work for publication and her mentors tell her she is right on the verge of having this work published but for now, she waits for the gatekeepers to invite her out of the holding box. Join us this Tuesday, October 18th wherever you like to listen to podcasts.

This evening, join Sindy of @livingincycles and @venus_star_astrologer for a deep dive into the quality of time! ☆
One of the many concepts we discuss in tonight's episode is the often-feared Saturn Return.
You may have heard of Saturn Returns, or you may be in the middle of one right now.
It is a type of personal liminal space that can feel very intense.
So if you've wondered why your:
•late 20s,
•late 50s or
•late 80s
have been times that put you through the ringer, Sindy explains the Saturn Return can also lead us to important revelations.
Sindy is a certified professional astrologer and Venus Star Point practitioner. She maintains a deeply informative blog and a YouTube channel ~link in the comments ~ where she teaches about astrology. She is particularly enamored by the pattern that Venus makes with the Earth and the Sun called the Rose of Venus. She also shares ancient poetry from Mesopotamia and is particularly devoted to a much- earlier incarnation of the Venus of Greco-Roman myth, the goddess Innana.
Sindy is also a polyglot and offers astrological readings in three languages: English, Finnish and German.

Tomorrow we will be in conversation with Sindy of Living in Cycles ― Astrology • Faith • Health
Because we have some hard times in our lives, we can lose hope. But we can also trust that we will be able to move through these phases. Astrology is one of the tools that can give us the capacity to see these times as cycles that we have been through before.
For example, last summer I suddenly found myself thinking of a particular time in my life, -the late 90s- when I was still in high school. It was such a powerful urge to remember that I hunted through my old storage containers and found a journal from that time period. I read some of the entries and looked at the art.
A few days later, I had a reading with Sindy she calls the Cycles of Life. Sindy showed that I was currently in the same astrological cycle as I had been back in the late 90s. I was amazed and told her the story of the journal.
We were able to examine the recurring themes of this cycle.
Without Sindy's skill, I would have dismissed those memories of the 90s as a meaningless reverie. Instead, I was able to track my progress through those times and to feel proud of how far I have come.
Sindy is a certified professional astrologer and a Venus Star Point practitioner. You can book a reading with her or also enjoy the wonderful content that she has created on her YouTube channel, Living in Cycles. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCAjcY30_RSy5uR45e-Ud5Jg

Seeing and understanding the themes and lessons of our lives can seem daunting.
That's why this week, I am overjoyed to be in the company of professional astrologer Sindy of Living in Cycles ― Astrology • Faith • Health
Sindy is certified in the Hellenistic tradition and is also a Venus Star Point practitioner.
Using her tools of myth and geometry, Sindy has helped many people recognize patterns or cycles that are repeating in their lives. She has helped people adjust their perspective, approach or focus on harmony.
I for one am full of gratitude to Sindy for helping us to see the beauty in the cosmos!
