146 days until Scenic Shore 150 Bike Tour-Leukemia & Lymphoma Society!! 150 miles to raise money for Leukemia research and patient/family support. Indoor training has begun. This week, I drop my bike at Pete's Garage for a tune up so I'm ready to ride outdoors (hopefully later this month!!) Stay away old man winter!
Our Lymphomaniacs team's fundraising goal is $225,000. My personal goal is $1,000!
I'm so excited to be back at this year. I was going to ride last year but was fighting vertigo + migraines and a tailbone injury (because I'm a klutz!) This year (no jinx!) THIS IS HAPPENING!!
As many of you know, I've been involved with LLS since 2008 when I ran my first half marathon. (I use the term "ran" VERY loosely.) It's hard to believe this journey started 16 years ago --with the support of my family & friends!
I invite you to join me again this year in this endeavor! Did you know funds raised by these events have helped support new ground-breaking cancer treatments for Chronic Lymphatic Leukemia (CLL), Acute Myeloid (AML), Myeloma, Lymphoma & more? Since 1949, LLS has invested more than $1.5 BILLION in cancer research. That's truly astounding.
If you can join this powerful research engine, please donate at my site www.bike4dad.com in memory of my amazing dad, Bruce Baumler and all those impacted by blood cancers.
Thank you!!
Please join us in supporting The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) by making a donation to our fundraising campaign. Your support will help fund the therapies and treatments and help save lives today. LLS's continued advancements over the years, are responsible for the blood cancer survival rate dou
