I feel so incredibly blessed to have gotten the opportunity this last weekend to photograph the Aurora Borealis from my own hometown! To the naked eye, these colors weren't pronounced. It was more of a light glow in the sky, but my camera picked up all these beautiful colors. I was even able to get some amazing shots both Friday and Saturday night. For years, I have been wanting to see the Northern Lights but never dreamed of seeing them from New Mexico!

I love learning how to be better at photography and trying to take photos from different perspectives. I decided to try shooting in monochrome with my 50mm and capture random little details in my room. These were all shot in B&W on my Canon R7 and touched up in lightroom.

I love my 50mm to capture details but shooting in b&w was really fun instead of turning photos b&w in post production. This is something I think I'll continue doing just for fun 😁

I absolutely love this! #farmtok (the farm side of tiktok) got together to recite the God Made a Farmer poem. The people in this video regularly come up with transparent, educational, and fun content to show the real side of agriculture. Tiktok and the internet have their faults of course, but as someone in media and in agriculture, it makes me happy that people can be so much more transparent and show what is really going on in the world. It also has created a sense of community on a large scale seeing people coming together to create content like this.

And with that, the 2022 season comes to an end. Happy New Year!

I'm also going to be offering one time sessions where I can take a look specifically at your social media and offer ideas to best suit your business!

In no way am I an expert in mental health but these are things I do to help my mental health so I figured I would share in honor of Mental Health Day
