Over the next few weeks we will be introducing you to the people Who make our music dreams come true - behind the scenes, as well as on stage! 🎙 🛠

I proudly introduce you to Whitney-John Stuart who serves as the President & C.E.O of IKF!

Mr. Stuart has close to 4 decades experience in the entertainment industry. He started singing at age 8. He signed his 1st record contract at 18 and has been lead singer of several rock bands. He has performed with the Vancouver Opera and enjoyed numerous European tours as both a Soprano and Tenor soloist. He also appeared in several US tv shows and been an MC at over 1000 live music events.

Mr. Stuart has over a decade of experience in the world of competitive karaoke. As a performer, he was the 2012 KWC Canadian Men's National Champion. That year, he went on to finish 6th in the world. In 2013, he transitioned into a managerial role taking the reigns of the Canadian national program and the US national program the following year. Over the next 4 years those teams went on to win multiple Gold, Silver and Bronze medals. In 2016, he was the first producer to bring the Karaoke World Championships to the Americas. He left KWC at the end of the 2016 season. He then went on to become founder of the World Karaoke Tour and serve as its' first Commissioner.

Other pursuits include owning a live music venue and being a music promoter on the West Coast for over 10 years. In 1999, he co-founded TheBillardChannel . Com , the first website to livestream pool matches around the globe. He has been a board of directors member of 3 trading companies. He is also graduate of the Columbia Academy Radio and Television program.

Next on stage, we have Mrs. Thompson!

Mrs. Thompson will oversee the IKF World Karaoke Tour as well as US National and professional singer development.

As a well known performer and personality in the world of competitive singing, Sissi Thompson has been on both sides of the performance curtain. Growing up in the southern United States, Sissi's musical roots began in the church. Thanks to her father, a well known Southern Gospel performer in Atlanta, Sissi was heavily influenced by the songs of her faith. Throughout her youth and into college, she was always at a musical event, in piano or voice lessons, majoring in Music, and traveling with vocal ensembles, glee clubs and show choirs to perform and compete. She has enjoyed working as a demo artist as well as a lead and background singer in Gospel, country and rhythm and blues acts in NYC, Tampa, Atlanta and Nashville.

Sissi's journey to the world of competitive singing began in 2015 where she made Top 5 at Talent Quest Florida State Championships. Also in 2015, she won the KWC Flordia State Championships ladies division and went on to finish top 10 in the nation. She then went on with her husband, a former Ohio State champion himself, to become KWC Ohio State directors for 2 seasons.

In 2020, Sissi captained her team to a silver medal at the WKT World Team Championships. She also holds the distinction of being the 1st ever to host "WKT Backstage", the first talk show about karaoke and competitive singing. Most recently, she won Gospel Female Masters Vocalist of the year and Entertainer of the year at the North America Country Music International competition in Tennessee.

Let’s give it up for Garvaundo Hamilton!

Mr. Hamilton will oversee IKF's Karaoke Cup competition as well as international relations and amateur singer development.

Born and raised in Jamaica, Garvaundo moved to NYC to attend Fordham University to pursue a Bachelors in Business Management and Communication. He moved to St Louis in 2012 where he completed his bachelors degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Leadership and Change Management.

In 2018 Garvaundo graduated from Saint Louis University with a Masters Degree (honors) in Higher Education Administration before moving to Arkansas to work at University of the Ozarks. In 2019 Garvaundo moved to Washington to work as an International Engagement Leadership Advisor at Highline College.. He has over 8 years of experience in Higher Education and International Affairs. He currently works as the General Manager for an international printing, graphics design and marketing franchise.

Garvaundo is a lover of music and has a wide variety of medals and trophies from various singing competitions from his time in Jamaica, NYC, St Louis and now Seattle. In 2017, Garvaundo won the coveted St Louis Idol. In 2019, he was crowned the KWC Washington State Silver Medalist. In 2020, He was crowned one of the four KWCUSA national champions (3rd overall) before going on to KWC Worlds where he won the Gold medal representing Team USA.
