Hi friends - it’s been a little while. Things have been in a serious transition amidst all this chaos. The world has been a crazy place and it’s been difficult to process a lot of it as of recent. Hope you’re all doing well and that we can come out of this stronger than ever. Love you all.

I’ll be posting links to donate to the cause and petitions to sign in my bio. Not a huge fan of because we should be amplifying voices and not be silent, especially when it comes to clogging up BLM twitter and instagram hashtags. The fight must go on.

This past weekend and I marched in solidarity from Prospect Park to Union Square. Im angry and I’m tuned in, watching, acting and learning as much as I possibly can right now to be a better ally. Last night I was brought to tears watching interview and — I hope everyone will continue to tune in and make their voices heard. I’m sick and tired of this administration and the people who uphold a system that doesn’t protect its people. There is no peace when there is no justice for innocent lives lost. Original art by .creates and in her own words:
・・・
Yesterday, in yet another act of anti-black police violence causing mass outrage, George Floyd yelled “I can’t breathe” and pleaded for his life as a white Minneapolis police officer violently pinned him down with his knee on his neck. George died after. He was murdered in broad daylight. His death is reminiscent of the death of Eric Garner. Even with a crowd yelling at him to stop and while folks filmed the murder, the cop did it anyway, showing the massive injustice, zero accountability and white supremacy embedded in the “criminal justice” system. Heartbroken, angry and disgusted. This must end. Much love and solidarity to Black communities grieving another beautiful life lost. May George Floyd Rest in Power.
Text ‘Floyd’ to 55156 to demand the officers be charged with murder. You can also call Mayor Jacob Frey at (612)-673-2100, DA Mike Freeman at (612)-348-5550 and demand justice.

Tomorrow at 3:30pm I’ll be doing a musical tribute to my grandfather, who just passed away due to covid complications. He turned 92 years old on Tuesday - for a historical point of reference Queen Elizabeth was born two years before him. I’ve put together a sort of musical eulogy for him that mixes together some of my favorite music matched up with a curated selection of visuals to go along with each piece. It’ll be about an hour long and streaming on twitch. This one is for anyone who has lost someone they love recently. I hope it’ll bring you some joy. Follow the for more details. I’ll post a link to the stream tomorrow in my bio and in my story.

Happy Earth Day! There's obviously a lot going on in the world right now and I hope everyone is holding up alright. It's times like these that remind us that we are truly one species, sharing this planet with many other lifeforms, fragile, even when we think we're in control something microscopic can change the course of millions of lives. It's a powerful reminder that nothing is too small to make a difference, whether good or bad, and that change is the only constant in the universe. Since this will be the first time in 50 years, since Earth Day started that people won't be gathering together to celebrate our shared love for this planet we call home, let's take the time to be grateful for what we do have and appreciate the fact that through all of the most difficult times, the earth has been here to provide for us. From the food we enjoy daily, to the water we drink, to the air we breathe, the simple magic that makes life possible is a beautiful thing to behold. So even though we're not together this earth day we are still in this together, and will hopefully emerge from this stronger, more trusting in science and ready to transition into a cleaner and greener future. With oil barrel prices dropping in the negative numbers this week, we can see the economic effects this pandemic has caused, and possibly for the best in that regard. Now that we’ve had time to slow down maybe we can prioritize what matters in order to move forward and see our role on this planet as stewards rather than reapers.

I know it’s long overdue but the last year has been a wild ride — building a shop and operating it. But now that I have some free time on my hands again, as do many of you I’m sure, it’s time to create again. My goal for this issue is the same as it’s always been - to provide you with uplifting stories about people doing amazing work. So with that being said I’m proud to announce that Issue No.5 is officially in the works 🌲✅. Would you like to include your photography, art, illustrations or business in this upcoming edition? Please contact me for more information. I’ll be setting up a partnership page this week on the website for anyone looking to advertise as well!

My amazing and incredibly talented friend Zero Waste Daniel is collaborating with and doing something super fun and exciting at Arcadia Earth Museum for Fashion week – or rather for the death of fashion week ☠️

This event has been months in the making and will take over the entire space, activating the exhibit in a way that's never been done before.

Once inside the space, you'll be transported through Daniel's vision of a not so distant future; where fashion as we know it has completely flatlined and fashion week no longer exists. The 15-room activation will include a wailing wall for fallen brands, a seance to conjure trends gone too soon, and a eulogy by the designer himself.

Zero Waste Daniel's newest collection of upcycled garments and accessories will also be on display and available for purchase at the shop. Link for tickets is in my bio!

It's pretty unreal, but is now open. The space has two experiences – a 15 room AR/VR exhibit and a pop-up shop that offers solutions to many of the key issues highlighted throughout the experience.

The Regeneration x Arcadia pop-up shop is stocked with goods from brands that have been vetted and must meet the our four core requirements: conflict-free, cruelty-free, non-toxic and sweatshop-free. Many of the brands are also local, vegan, up cycled, fair trade and zero waste. The store is also adorned with a beautiful installation piece made from up cycled materials by artist, made from library books that were going to be discarded.

The store is open for the next 6 months and we're in the midst of launching an e-commerce platform to share some of these products and their brand stories with you.

Come say hello and check out the full exhibition as well. Tickets are avaialble online at www.arcadia.earth
