Got some time this last weekend to work on some details for the weapons. I wanted to go for a bit of an organic look on the more fleshy parts. I am not sure how I feel about the red on the gun but we will have to see how it looks on the figure.
This weeks progress is all about working on the weapons and small details. It’s amazing how fast four hours can disappear and you don’t even realize it. I still have a lot of work to do on these parts. It’s a shame these just got hit hard with the Nerf bat.

It finally arrived!!! Dungeons & Lasers : Encounters! This was a Gamefound campaign. I am going to be VERY busy painting this for a long long time!
WIP Wednesday. I spent a lot of time today painting minis! More work done on the Reaper Obsidian Crypt. This piece is found to be part of a larger setting that I plan to use as background for any painted minis I photograph. Next we have Kobolds, Skeletons and a Troll from Nolzur’s. Each were base coated in The Army Painter Speed Paints. The green on the troll is so vibrant. I love how they turned out. I still need to do some more touchups and to figure out what I’m going to do with the bases, but overall very happy with how they turned out.

I want to take a minute and say thank you to everyone who has given praise and feedback on my most recent pieces. The wizards workshop was by far the most difficult piece and I have done and at several points during the process I swore I was going to mess it up. I am also just shocked at the number of positive comments and likes that I received on this. I have only been painting for a year and I never thought I would ever be able to have so many people enjoy something that I painted. Thank you for being such a supportive and amazing community!
This has been my most ambitious piece to date. I did a few firsts with this one. First diorama, first time removing bases from metal minis, first time using glow pigment, and first OSL!! A few WIP shots from my current project. Trying to decide if I want to cut back on the green. The idea here is there will be a wizard in the middle casting. The orb he is holding will also be in this same color and I am going to try my hand at OSL. In my mind I envisioned the magic coursing through the runes on the floor. But I am not sure if it’s too much currently. Feedback welcome and needed!!
Alright. I printed both the live-z sheet and the XYZ Cube for testing. The live-z sheet turned out like crap because I made the mistake of trying to pull the test pig off of the magnetic bed while it was still hot and I have permanently damaged the sheet on the first day I had the machine and now will need to replace it.
For the cube the results were better once the layers got stacked up but I can still see some errors with the bottom layer. Aside from replacing the magnetic bed, is there anything else I should focus on?
Finished a few QOL pieces for my Ender 3 Pro. Filament guide, ribbon cable brackets, control board cover. All in all pretty happy with how they turned out. I am not looking for $30000 printer quality but I want to improve where I can. In the following pictures are some minor blemishes. Any idea what I can do to reduce blemishes like this? This is literally the second day I have had this thing. I am stupid new at this.

I know that for photography read/write speed can play a huge role in the SD card you choose. How important is it for my Ender 3 Pro?
Today the Tervigon is done! Tomorrow the base!
Need some advice on basing with bark. What should I use to seal this before I prime it? Modpodge? PVA? Or just primer?
OK so here is the tally, I have in the past 3 days ordered the Creality Ender 3 Pro, the Anycubic Photon S and the Anycubic Wash and Cure Station. I really appreciate all of the super helpful advice I received from everyone and I hope to be sharing my experiences with these products to new people who have questions in the future.
I do however need a little help with next steps. What Filament would you recommend for terrain such as Dark Realms or dungeon tiles.
What Resin or mix of resins would you recommend to create miniatures that I intend to paint and will be used for tabletop gaming.
I am US based and need links along with recommendations.

Need advice! Getting ready to order a Resin 3D Printer. My choices are Anycubic Photon, Photon S, Elegoo Mars and Creality LD-002R (as these are the only ones I can find in stock in my price range) I know most are pretty similar (aside from Photon S) but unsure which to get. I know there are other options and more expensive options but these are my choices.
OK Let's try this again. I finally decided to pull the trigger on an FDM printer. (Resin is next) I ordered the Ender 3 Pro. I understand that the best thing to do at this point is to learn the basic machine and add upgrades as needed down the line. Things like an all metal extruder for durability since the plastic ones don't last as long.
Are there any other improvements that I should keep in mind for this specific printer for the future?
I also intend to use this primarily for D&D Terrain and other mundane items like storage boxes, filament guide and other lesser quality items. So with that in mind what filament do you recommend?
Thank you for your helpful feedback already as it helped me realize I had let the "Bling" get the better of me and ordered several upgrades I didn't need right now.
Both Anycubic and Elegoo make great FDM and Resin Printer’s if you were to get one of each which brand would you choose and why?

Tonight’s progress. I always hate how they look after I wash them at first. But I know I am not done yet so I have plenty of time to make it cleaner
