When I first started Socially Fused Media, I made a HUGE mistake: I spent HOURS rerecording my very first reel (about 25 times), tweaking every little edit, stressing over a trending audio I didn’t even love, and trying to match a video style that wasn’t really me.
And for what? A few views that I obsessed over… but no real impact. Because I was so caught up in the how that I missed the most important part—the message I needed to share.
If I could go back? I wouldn’t start by scrolling to see what everyone else in my industry was doing. I’d start with my own message—getting crystal clear on the ONE thing I wanted to say.
Then, I’d create different versions of that message and share it again and again.
Because at the end of the day, it’s not about the trend—it’s about the value you bring.
