In Turkey, statements and partisan reactions continue about the second round of the presidential elections scheduled before the end of this month, in which President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and opposition candidate Kemal Kilicdaroglu will meet.

Erdogan vowed victory in the second round. While Kilicdaroglu warned his supporters of despair, and dismissed his assistant for media affairs; The third-ranked candidate, Sinan Ogan, said that his pivotal role was to prevent Erdogan from delivering his victory speech, and revealed that he had received a call from both parties.

The Turkish Elections Authority announced that a second round of presidential elections would be held on May 28 between Erdogan and his main rival, Kemal Kilicdaroglu.

This is the first time that a run-off has taken place in the Turkish presidential elections in 100 years.

The head of Turkey's Supreme Electoral Commission, Ahmed Yanar, said that both candidates, Erdogan and Kilicdaroglu, did not get enough votes to win the first round. A second round of the presidential elections will be held on May 28.

Yanar added that Erdogan won 49.51% of the vote, while Kılıçdaroğlu received 44.88%, Sinan Oğan 5.17%, and the withdrawing candidate, Muharram Ince, received 0.44%.

The meeting of the President of the Palestinian National Authority, Mahmoud Abbas, with the Egyptian singer and actor, Mohamed Ramadan, yesterday, Tuesday, in New York, topped the discussion of the Palestinian and Egyptian platforms, amid a wave of ridicule and harsh criticism on social media.

Ramadan published pictures of the meeting that brought them together through his accounts, and wrote on it, commenting, "In New York today, I had the honor to meet Mr. President Mahmoud Abbas Abu Mazen, President of the dear and beloved State of Palestine."
On Tuesday, Abbas delivered a speech at the official event organized by the United Nations at its headquarters in New York, to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Nakba of the Palestinian people, for the first time since 1948.
meeting and controversy
Activists circulated a video clip - posted by the Egyptian actor on Instagram - documenting an aspect of the Palestinian President's welcome to him, as the meeting began with a welcome: Welcome, how are you, here we are finally meeting you, we heard about you for a long time all the good news and great art.
The photos of the meeting, which bloggers considered "surprising," sparked a wave of controversy and criticism against Abbas, against the background of his meeting with the controversial actor, especially since it came a few days after the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip and the bombing of civilian homes.
Others attacked Abbas, criticizing the meeting, and mentioned Ramadan's well-known position on "normalization with the occupation", especially his famous photo in 2020, in which he embraced the Israeli singer Omer Adam, before he justified that by not knowing the identity of this person.
Through the communication sites, tweeters asked several questions to both sides of the meeting about the nature of the "topics they discussed together," as well as comments that took the form of humor and sarcasm.

Comments and sarcasm
The Palestinian writer and political analyst, Yasser Al-Zaatrah, said: Abbas and Ramadan! After his pleading speech at the United Nations on the anniversary of the Nakba, in which he shouted (Protect us); (..) After the speech, Mahmoud Abbas received the actor or singer, Mohamed Ramadan; Praising his "great art"! What a bad luck for our people."

The repercussions of excluding Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema from the French national team and preventing him from participating in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar continue to capture the attention of the French media, which reveals additional and shocking details every period.

France officials announced Benzema's absence from the World Cup in Qatar, one day before the start of the tournament on November 20, due to a left thigh injury.
However, France coach Didier Deschamps did not drop Benzema's name from the final list, which opened the door to his return in the event that the player recovered from that injury, but the coach refused with clear obstinacy to answer a question about the failure of the 2022 Ballon d'Or winner to return to the ranks. Chosen "Roosters".

Meanwhile, the French "RMCSport" network revealed new scenes of Benzema's exclusion.

She pointed to one of the main reasons for excluding the Real Madrid striker from the French national team camp, which is his rejection of the "gay" support campaign, which opened the discussion about it among the players, led by Hugo Lloris, captain and runner-up of the world champion.

According to French journalist Daniel Riolo, Benzema addressed his colleagues, saying, "Are we here (at the World Cup) for that? Do we have to express our positions on this?!".
It seems that this position issued by the striker of Algerian origin did not please some players, at a time when Benzema was paying more attention to how to deal with his injury.

Riolo said, "We saw pictures of Benzema's injury, who went to do medical examinations in Aspetar. He could have stayed and sat on the bench and used him in the final price."

He explained, "The same thing happened with Argentine Angel Di Maria, who we saw in the first match against Saudi Arabia, then missed, but returned in the final, as he was one of the best players in the match."

Deschamps' vanity
The French journalist accused his compatriot Deschamps and the national team officials of managing the file of Benzema's injury with a lot of "vanity", something that retired player Samir Nasri referred to.

And Riolo quoted Benzema as saying in those days, "I know my body completely, and I know how to take care of it."
The French journalist revealed the way in which Benzema - who retired internationally after the end of the Qatar World Cup - got out of the national team camp, saying, "They took him out at night in a strange way after the doctor told him that he would not be ready for the tournament. This is not the way the players are dealt with."

Riolo confirmed that some players were happy with the exit of Benzema, led by Antoine Griezmann, Loris and Olivier Giroud, because he might steal the spotlight.

Paris Saint-Germain is preparing to make an offer to sign Erling Haaland, striker and scorer for Manchester City and the English Premier League.
And the station, "RMC Sports", indicated that the new failure of the Parisian club in the Champions League has already caused it to try to look forward, hoping to win the major European title next season.
Breaking the penalty clause
According to the French station, this move will only be to sign Haaland, who is currently shining in Manchester City, provided that the Parisian club spares no effort and money to convince the player and his English club.
For this, Paris Saint-Germain would be willing to pay about 200 million euros, which is stipulated in the penalty clause in the Norwegian player's contract with Manchester City, according to the "Erm News" website.
Get rid of the stars
And in the event that Saint-Germain succeeds in including the player, his hypothetical arrival would make the French forced to get rid of prominent players who receive huge salaries, in order to comply with the financial “fair play” and avoid contractions. And Pat.
Of course, this will include the names of prominent players such as: world champion # Lionel_Messi, or veteran defender Sergio Ramos, especially since negotiations to renew their contracts are currently stalled, or even # Neymar, whose repeated injuries made Paris Saint-Germain consider his departure.
Failure in the Champions League
Coach Christophe Galtier's star-studded team, which includes Mbappe and Messi, failed to score Bayern Munich in the two-legged matches, losing "0/3" on aggregate; And his hopes of snatching the most prominent European title for clubs fade for another year.
Paris Saint-Germain left the Champions League in the Round of 16 for the fifth time in the last 7 years; This prevented him from competing for the great European title, which he has been seeking since Qatar's acquisition of the club.
top scorer
Haaland, 22, leads the Premier League's top scorer list with 28 goals from 27 matches, in his first season with City in the Premier League.

The political conflict between Morocco and Algeria is a long-standing dispute that has been ongoing for decades. The two countries have a history of animosity, stemming from the Algerian War of Independence in the 1950s and 60s. Since then, the two countries have been locked in a bitter rivalry over issues such as border disputes, economic competition, and regional influence.

The conflict between Morocco and Algeria dates back to the early days of independence for both countries. In 1962, Morocco declared its independence from France, while Algeria declared its independence from France in 1962 as well. This led to a period of tension between the two countries as they sought to establish their own national identities and assert their sovereignty over their respective territories.

In 1963, Morocco annexed the Spanish Sahara (now known as Western Sahara), which was then under Spanish control. This move was met with strong opposition from Algeria, who viewed it as an infringement on their own territorial integrity. This led to a series of border skirmishes between the two countries that lasted until 1976 when a ceasefire was declared.

Since then, tensions between Morocco and Algeria have remained high due to various issues such as economic competition and regional influence. In addition, both countries have accused each other of supporting separatist movements within their respective borders. For example, Morocco has accused Algeria of supporting the Polisario Front in Western Sahara while Algeria has accused Morocco of supporting separatists in Kabylia region in northern Algeria.

The conflict between Morocco and Algeria has also been exacerbated by the presence of refugees from Western Sahara who fled into Algeria during the war for independence in 1975-76. These refugees are still living in camps in southern Algeria near Tindouf where they are supported by Algerian authorities despite protests from Moroccan authorities who view them as a threat to Moroccan sovereignty over Western Sahara.

In recent years, there have been attempts by both sides to improve relations through diplomatic channels but these efforts have largely failed due to mutual distrust and suspicion between both sides. In addition, there is still no resolution to the dispute over Western Sahara which continues to be an obstacle to any potential reconciliation between Morocco and Algeria.

Overall, it is clear that the political conflict between Morocco and Algeria is unlikely to be resolved anytime soon given its long history of animosity and mistrust between both sides. Until both sides can come together and find common ground on issues such as border disputes, economic competition, regional influence, refugee rights etc., this conflict will continue to remain unresolved
