Rixos Premium Dubai, a stylish urban hotspot in the heart of Dubai’s Jumeirah Beach Residence, invites everyone to experience an immersive art exhibition celebrating Father’s Day. Taking over the main lobby of the hotel from 13th of June, the installation will captivate visitors for an entire month. This unique showpiece will feature a series of magnificent art installations, including a large painting and a 6-metre-high sculpture, to capture the enduring essence of fatherhood in a modern and creative fashion.
The art pieces featured in the exhibition will be the work of Ouisam (Wissam Melhem), a talented painter and sculptor. His illustrious career, which has seen him working in architecture and landscape design, is marked by a deep exploration of various themes. His most recent work was featured in several exhibitions, including the “Interweaving” solo exhibition in Spain, the “Remember August 4th” collective exhibition in Washington DC, and the “22nd International ART Exchange Exhibition” in Tokyo. One of his works was also selected to be exhibited in the permanent collection of the Peoria Riverfront Museum in the U.S.
During this month-long exhibition, the lobby will transform into an engaging space, taking you on a journey of introspection and contemplation. As you step inside the hotel, you are greeted by a symphony of sounds and sights that evoke a sense of interconnectedness. Upon reaching the exhibition area, an array of artworks will unfold, which are thoughtfully curated by Dr. Tony Karam, an obstetrician and gynaecological surgeon with a passion for art who has been promoting artists and helping them showcase their masterworks in multiple exhibitions. The artworks portray the different aspects of fatherhood, symbolising the nurturing and protective qualities of a father’s love, and hinting at the complexities and challenges inherent in the fatherhood dynamic. An artist linking Lebanon with the world
Under the auspices of the Italian Cultural Institute in Abu Dhabi, ArtBooth presents:
“Will You Wait For Me Under That Pine Tree?” - A Solo Art Exhibition by the Lebanese-Italian artist Gilbert Halaby. Showcasing 13 Oil on linen paintings, the exhibition pays homage to Halaby’s roots, as he lovingly recreates the serene land- scapes of his village. The houses, with their unique character and charm, stand as a testament to the artist’s deep connection to the place he calls home, towered by
the majestic pine tree.
“Everything became possible because of me moving to Rome, I went back to Lebanon with my houses and pine trees because I was able to find my new home in the Eternal city, where I could pursue my pas- sion and love for painting” (Read the rest in the comment)
