After a whirlwind seven months, Andrea Meza's reign as Miss Universe is coming to an end. Today, we will see who succeeds her as the universe's most phenomenal woman.

Topping Blue Pageantology's predictions for Miss Universe 2021 is Kedist Deltour of Belgium. After Iris Mittenaere won in 2016, we think it's time the Mouawad crown goes to Europe. With a compelling story of leaving her native Ethiopia for Belgium and advocating for multiple causes, we believe she is a perfect fit to be Miss Universe.

India's Harnaaz Kaur Sandu is close second in our picks. After last year's formidable Top 5 finish, we're looking forward to see India sustain their strength at Miss Universe. Harnaaz's intelligence, charm and elegance is simply undeniable.

Without a doubt this year's sentimental favorite, we believe Nadia Ferreira of Paraguay would make a great contender for the crown. Already an accomplished model, her passion for her causes makes her a complete package. We will not be disappointed to see Paraguay win their first crown this year.

Rounding out our Top 5 are Puerto Rico's Michelle Colรณn and Colombia's Valeria Ayos. These two feisty Latinas are in strong contention for the crown. With their top model calibre pasarelas and powerful aura, we are excited to see them shine on finals night.

We believe that the ladies in our Top 10 can also take the crown depending on how things play out on finals nigt. They are all reliable titleholders and we would be excited to see them advance further:

Pain demands to be felt. So we'll post this award now while it's still so, so fresh.

After Alaiza Malinao was shut out of the Top 5 at last year's Miss Universe Philippines competition, we hoped that a robbery of that scale would never happen again. But sadly, it did. And this time, it hurt twice as much.

Jasmine Umali was our pick to win the whole thing. She exuded a radiance that rarely came by in pageants. We believed she was the best during the evening gown round and put on a great show during the swimsuit competition. Likewise, her personality came through during interviews. Sadly, the universe didn't conspire for Jas tonight. We feel that she deserved to make it to the Top 10 over some of the girls who did. We hope to see her give Miss Universe Philippines another shot. Her day will come, and we will keep supporting her until the end.

Our sentimental favorite is Leren Mae Bautista. Ever since she graced the Binibining Pilipinas stage and represented us at Miss Globe, we knew that she was destined for greater. Sadly, she only advanced to the Top 10 at Miss Universe Philippines 2021. She turned it out on coronation night, and it is still a mystery as to how she didn't make it to Top 5. What hurts more is that this is her last shot at a chance for Miss Universe. Despite everything, we love Leren. We thank her for always putting on a show in every competition she joined and giving us fans what we want.

We wish Jas and Leren all the best as they embark on their next chapter. The stars may not have aligned the way we wanted them to, but we do not regret throwing our support to these two lovely ladies.

After much deliberation post-prelims, the Blue Pageantology team believes that ๐— ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ถ๐—น๐—ฎ's ๐—œ๐˜‡๐—ฎ๐—ฏ๐—ฒ๐—น๐—น๐—ฎ ๐—๐—ฎ๐˜€๐—บ๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ฒ ๐—”. ๐—จ๐—บ๐—ฎ๐—น๐—ถ is the best candidate to send to this year's Miss Universe competition. Jas was effortlessly impactful during the swimsuit and evening gown rounds. Likewise, her personality came through during interviews. Naysayers will comment that she lacks "nutrisyon sa utak" (whatever that means), but you cannot deny that she is a force to be reckoned with in this batch of strong ladies.

She will do well on coronation night, and we wouldn't be surprised if she represents us in Israel this December.

Another frontrunner in our Top 5 is ๐—ง๐—ฎ๐—ด๐˜‚๐—ถ๐—ด's pride, ๐—ž๐—ฎ๐˜๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ฎ ๐——๐—ถ๐—บ๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฎ๐—ป. She has been consistent throughout the competition, and she delivered during preliminaries as expected. We love her long legs, her effervescence and the natural charisma she exudes. Winning would be a full circle moment for Katrina, as she was a Binibining Pilipinas titleholder in 2012, but wasn't able to represent the Philippines at the minor pageant she was supposed to compete at. Is this her shot at last?

After that ๐™ž๐™ฃ๐™ฃ๐™ค๐™ซ๐™–๐™ฉ๐™ž๐™ซ๐™š preliminary competition at the Clark International Airport, we are pleased to present our top picks for each segment of the prelims at MISS UNIVERSE PHILIPPINES 2021!

There is no denying that Manila's Izabella Jasmine Umali dominated the evening gown portion of the prelims with her glamorous green dress. She sauntered her way into our hearts with so much ease. You can tell that she was born for this. Major props to Laguna's Leren Mae Bautista and the stunning Steffi Rose Aberasturi for putting on a show in this round.

Beatrice Luigi Gomez of Cebu City was our favorite during the preliminary swimsuit competition. She did not just walk. Bea strutted as if her life depended on it. Manila's Jazmine Umali and Steffi Rose from Cebu Province can also keep their head held high because they stunned in their swimsuits.

We love the national costume competition because it allows each girl to wear something that truly represents their hometown. This year's twist, however, was that their costumes had to hark back to the days of the Manila Carnival Queens. That said, Cebu City's Beatrice Luigi Gomez had a fresh and gutsy take on the theme. The colors rocked under the lights, and she looked like a goddess. Maureen Wroblewitz's dazzling Pangasinan bangus outfit and Jasmine Umali's Babaylan-inspired look with the two-panel train were also close contenders.

Siargao Island's Michele Angela Okol was a pleasant surprise during the preliminary interviews. Although she was reserved, she was calm and collected and got her point across really well. San Juan's Rousanne Marie Bernos also shone as expected. While Paraรฑaques Sam Santamaria held her own among some stiff competition.

Presenting Blue Pageantology's first hotpicks for MISS UNIVERSE PHILIPPINES 2021!

Leading the pack is Leren Bautista. This stunning Lagunense brings with her lots of experience, having represented the Philippines in various international pageants. She isn't making as much noise as other delegates, but don't be fooled, as she is ready to show up come prelims.

In close second is Manila's Izabella Jasmine Umali. Despite the commotion of the past few days, Jas has been grounded and taking it all in stride. We love her composure, understated wit and her serene beauty.

Another pageant veteran in our Top 5 is Katrina Jayne Dimaranan of Taguig. After winning Binibining Pilipinas-Tourism in 2012 (and sadly not representing the country that year), she came back strong and gave the United States a 1st Runner-up finish at Miss Supranational 2018. She's now back in Philippine pageantry. Can she finally represent us on the international stage?

Andrea Meza from Chihuahua, Mexico is our new Miss Universe! She will be embarking on a meaningful reign advocating for her causes and those of the Miss Universe Organization. This is Mexico's third win at Miss Universe following the victories of Lupita Jones (1991) and Ximena Navarrete (2010).

A frontrunner from the start, Andrea peaked at the right time. After almost conquering Miss World in 2017, she became a heavy favorite for this year's Miss Universe competition. She won because she exuded a queenly aura that was just impossible to deny. We are excited to see what she does during her reign. ยกFelicidades Andrea! ๐Ÿ‘‘
