Let’s talk about Pinterest 📌

You’ve probably heard that Pinterest is an amazing tool to drive visitors to your website or blog, but might be wondering WHY & what sets it apart from Instagram 🧐

1. Pinterest is a visual search engine. Content on Pinterest is easy for brand new audiences to discover, rather than only being pushed to your existing followers.

When crafted with the right keywords and SEO, each unique pin can be found by users in your target audience who don’t follow you yet. This allows you to grow your readership and website visitors organically 🌿

2. Your content on Pinterest is evergreen and works harder for you! Pinterest pins get recirculated by users, meaning your pins will direct traffic to your site for months, if not years. Instagram posts only show in your follower’s newsfeeds about 24-48 hours 🤯

3. Pinterest has over 478 million monthly active users, 60% of whom are women. Male pinners and Gen Z are up 40% year over year. If Pinterest were a country, it would surpass the United States as the third largest country in the world! 🌎

4. 🛍 Have a shop or affiliate links on your blog? 89% of Pinterest users are using the platform for purchase inspiration. 50% frequently shop on Pinterest. Additionally, 45% of people in the US with an annual household income of >$100k are on Pinterest.

Pinners are 55% more likely to purchase a product after seeing an image or video on Pinterest compared to other platforms.

5. Users are 3x more likely to click over to a brand’s website on Pinterest than any other social media platform. Each pin is clickable and directs the user to your URL, encouraging them to connect with you off the platform 🔗

Now that you understand how powerful Pinterest can be for you, you may be thinking “Sheesh, another platform I have to be active on?” & I totally get it! Not unlike Instagram, Pinterest is a demanding platform that values consistency.

One of my favorite things about being a remote Virtual Assistant is being able to serve my clients from anywhere with a wifi signal 👩🏻‍💻
