through all of the twists and turns of my freelance journey, my faith is one thing that has remained solid. any time i begin to fall into a spiral of worry, doubt, or whatever else… my faith and my “why” is what brings me back and keeps me grounded.
i don’t think its any coincidence that i ended up using a camera for a living. i believe God planned and orchestrated my life in such a way to position me where i am today in my career.
it’s important to realize that Gods will is not always something that looks fun and exciting. it can mean relationships/partnerships coming to an end, changes to work and home life, or even some turbulence in your life as plans beyond our control unfold. i’ve found that keeping my trust in Him and believing things will work out for me when it’s all said and done in the way that He intends can help a lot. everything happens for a reason 💡

DJI Osmo Pocket 3 Unboxing & Sample Footage
I picked up the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 recently to use for mostly personal and social content. I've wanted one for a while now, and I knew I needed to do an unboxing when I got it.
In this video I unbox it, share some first impressions of it, and show off some simple test footage! I am floored by this camera and what it is capable of. Excited to see what I can do with it!
I recently uploaded this video to youtube, check the comments for the link to my channel where you can see more content like this! Lots of exciting stuff planned for the near future
Think about this before buying a new camera 💡🎥 full video on my youtube channel!
Vintage lenses are super clutch and i love using them in my rigs! they give you a lot of character and a look that can’t quite be matched by modern glass.
they can also be had for a fraction of the cost most of the time. you can get adapters for just about any lens mount to work with just about any lens out there. you lose autofocus but most of these old lenses don’t have it anyway, and you’ll become a better filmmaker for it! win win 🔥 do you have any vintage glass? let me know!
Getting the most out of your mobile photography can sometimes just mean adding a bit more effort and intention behind your shots.
most of the time with our phones, we don’t think twice about composition/framing etc. we just shoot away. if you really want to use your phone as your main means of photography or as a serious sidearm to your main camera, then applying the same rules you use when using your camera can go a really long way!
what else do you think could help improve phone photography? drop a comment!
An LED powerhouse for under $150? That’s this guy. It’s one of my favorite pieces of budget gear i’ve bought and it’s still going strong after years of use!

the power of a color grade! i thought it would be cool to show some before/after shots of the latest visuals i did for WCC LLC amd Caustic The MC
unless it's a quick vlog or some other kind of content that needs really quick turnaround, I try and shoot everything in LOG (a flat profile). this provides a lot of room for custom color choices to fit the mood of whatever the project is.
i've never been a great colorist, but i know enough, and i've found a great workflow this year using an awesome combo of LUTs to get the bulk of the work done so i can tweak the look to my liking after applying them.
sony FINALLY gave us 10bit color on the A7S iii, and it's been such a dream to work with and color grade in order to get the most out of SLOG3, a profile that really fell apart when you tried to grade it on earlier 8bit cameras.
learning more every day! let me know if you'd wanna see more of this stuff!
The Cinematic Shutter Rule!
going to start doing some tips & tricks videos to help people on their content creation journeys! this is one of the biggest guidelines i tend to stick to. doubling your shutter speed according to whatever your frame rate is in order to achieve the most natural and cinematic look!
in Miami through the weekend at the JW Marriott doing some camera work for Grant Cardone’s 10X Bootcamp virtual event! this stage design is super cool so i shot a little boomerang hyperlapse of it. excited for day 1 tomorrow!
the power of a color grade! its a stormy day here in South Carolina. i shot a quick front porch clip to experiment with a new flat color profile i’m using. color grading, to me, is a tedious but necessary skill. it can completely change the mood and tone of whatever you’re working on and it can really help carry your story. the hardest part is deciding when to stop! i could flop back and forth between these 2 grades all day. which do you prefer?
