Join us for our second Palestine solidarity teach-in where we will collectively reflect on, map and agitate for pan-Asian solidarities with Palestine that move us from mobilisation to organisation. Following our first teach-in in May 2024 we will be joined again by Isabella Kajiwara ()ย  - writer, organiser and .mag editor - for a Community Mapping Workshop to map shared goals, tools and resources for Palestine and Climate organising while generating space for dialogue as co-conspirators across East and South East Asian, and pan-Asian communities in London.ย

Building on our ongoing political education and community building, we will be releasing both a limited print run and digital release of our zine designed in collaboration with Roots of Resistance: reflections on pan-Asian Palestine solidarity โ€œ that captures the reflections, research and collective learnings from the contributors of our first teach-in , , , Yung Au, and ย

In the spirit of collective care and mutuality, we will provide some snacks and drinks for a potluck, and welcome attendees to bring an โ€˜offeringโ€™ to share of your choice (i.e. food, poems, seeds, books, plants etc) at the beginning of the teach-in. While tickets are free, we encourage those who can to donate to Operation Olive Branch (via the Eventbrite link).

On Thursday 7th Nov, join us at 6.30pm for โ€œSonic Solidarity Across Bordersโ€, a night of sound performances by artists and musicians who not only create the most beautiful compositions, but stand strong in their solidarity for a free Palestine. 100% of funds raised from ticket sales will go to

With performances by:

Aditi Jaganathan
Gisou Golshani
Bones Tan Jones
Cairo Girls School
Thierry Phung
Zeynep AฤŸcabay

Responding to SPACE FOR SWANAโ€™s November theme of โ€œRiseโ€โ€”turning towards dignity, justice and love, and utilising radical imagination and utopian politics to build towards a just futureโ€”we hold close the understanding that together, the actionable solidarity of each and every one of us assists the wings of liberation as it continues its steadfast flight, until a free Palestine.

Join us this Sunday at 4.30pm for a film screening of five short films from Palestine Film Instituteโ€™s โ€œProvoked Narrativesโ€ series at 3eibโ€™s SPACE FOR SWANA in London. 100% of funds from ticket sales + refreshments will go to

๐Ÿ•Š๏ธSunday 3rd Nov, 4.30pm - 7pm
๐Ÿ“SPACE FOR SWANA, Stokey Popup,
147 Stoke Newington High St, N16 0NY

โ€˜โ€œProvoked Narrativesโ€ is an invitation, in this time of genocide and ongoing aggression, to understand the narratives created around Palestine as part of a long colonial project, a blueprint of violence. To consider the ways in which the camera, since its very inception as a new tool, has played a conflicted role in the project of empire. To consider how images have been co-opted, and to see how images can also resist.

โ€œProvoked Narrativesโ€ presents films made from 1967 to 1984 in varying contexts and using different grammars of resistance, all live and resonant to this day. The programme reflects on the shifting gazes on the Palestinian struggle - from the humanitarian lens, to cinemas in solidarity and to the works of Palestinian filmmakers who devised new visual grammars in grief and in defiance. The films ponder questions of generational trauma and resistance, as well as the long history of solidarity between Palestine and Lebanon.โ€™

In response to SPACE FOR SWANAโ€™s November theme of โ€œRiseโ€โ€”turning towards dignity, justice and love, and utilising radical imagination and utopian politics to build towards a just futureโ€”this screening presents a chronological journey of resistance, inviting us to co-learn, build upon and strengthen our organising and mobilising capabilities.

For each cinema club we invite an artist / filmmaker to screen a short film of their own + an iconic Asian feature film selected by them.

Save the date for our next instalment with artist Rojda Yavuz () on Monday 17th June at Atlas Cinema ๐Ÿ’š

For this screening, Rojda will be showing their short โ€œgangsters and gods do not speak, they nodโ€ (2023), a video meditation on power and water. Technologies of war, water dams and other state-led infrastructure have led to lowering water levels of the Euphrates. This has provoked the excavation of ancient towns and gold, realising what has been prophesied by Abrahamic religions. Imperialist narrations and laments of loss are interspersed in this video that takes the viewer on an aerial journey through the Fertile Crescent, where imperialist enterprises compete with divine prophesies and nation states assume the role of god.

Alongside Rojdaโ€™s short, Rojda has selected โ€œThe Scent of Green Papayaโ€ (1993), Trแบงn Anh Hรนngโ€™s poetic debut set in 1950/60s Saigon. The story follows 10-year-old Mรนi, a domestic worker who observes lives within the homes of two affluent families; the first, a textile seller with three sons and a frequently absent husband; the second, a young pianist with his fiancรฉe. Her wide-eyed curiosity about the sights, sounds, and textures that envelope her offers respite from the trials that descend upon her employers. The slow decline of a society, its family life, gender and class, mirrors the coming-of-age and romantic blossoming of Mรนi.ย

Please feel free to bring your own snacks and refreshments.

Weโ€™re inviting some of our favourite sound artists, DJs and musicians to collage a 60 minute sonic exploration into the sounds that shape their world.

Ony is a London-based producer and DJ who has been crafting stories on his namesake genre-bending NTS radio show, where he mines whatever he finds to craft an immersive and strange musical environment. His shows are dark, ethereal and uncanny, often all at once. This mix is no exceptionโ€”get ready for an enigmatic montage of some of Onyโ€™s fave jams from the last few years by friends and others. Very slowed-down K-Pop, French R&B, Viet rap...music for empty stadiums on a rainy day.

Weโ€™ve all been there. Your parent stuffs a plastic bag in your hand thatโ€™s probably been around since before you were born. Inside is the most random amalgamation of stuff. An item of clothing, fruit, curry paste, laundry detergent, instant noodles, some rogue now-obsolete electronic cable, back scratcher, the list goes on. You insist you donโ€™t need these things but you know you will be not allowed to leave until you do.

Welcome to a new series celebrating the random stuff Asian parents give you upon returning home.

If youโ€™d like to be featured, please DM with an array of photos (low quality is fine) of said goodies along with a list of what they are.

Enjoy! ๐ŸŒž

Join us tomorrow, Wednesday 29th November, at 7pm for a free outdoor screening in London of โ€˜The Gaza Monologuesโ€™ ๐ŸŽž๏ธ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ

A big thank you to everyone who sent us a filmed or sound recorded monologue in light of the international call-out from Ashtar Theatre in Ramallah, for public performances of โ€˜The Gaza Monologuesโ€™ to take place on 29th November, to mark the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People.

โ€˜The Gaza Monologuesโ€™ are testimonies at www.thegazamonologues.com written by the Ashtar youth between the ages of 13-17 in 2010 after the 2008-09 war in the Gaza strip.

Tomorrow weโ€™ll be screening everyoneโ€™s submitted monologues in a free outdoor screening at the steps by the ICA, The Mall. Dress warm and please join us ๐Ÿ‰

"Thirty-three young people from Gaza believed in 2010, that they have a voice other than the cries of fear and the moans of frustration. A voice that can rise higher than the drones of war and the planes that bombarded them day and night. A voice that says: Enough!!! We deserve a world better than this, a world without fear, siege or occupation.โ€ - Ashtar Theatre
