Borno State Governor Prof. Babagana Zulum, represented by his Deputy Hon. Umar Usman Kadafur, has launched a three-month training workshop for 781 teachers from 19 Local Government Education Authorities in Bama yesterday.

The initiative aims to enhance teaching qualifications, offering N30,000 monthly stipends and regular salaries for the educators who would undergo rigorous training at both the College of Education Waka-Biu and Umar Ibn Ibrahim El-Kanemi College of Education, Science and Technology Bama where the event took place.

This phase launched yesterday in Bama, is part of the broader program to train 2,730 teachers, with a budget of N1 billion as earlier announced by the government.

Governor Zulum has emphasized the government's commitment to improving education standards and ensuring well-compensated, qualified teachers.

In his remarks, His royal highness the Shehu of Bama Alh. Umar Ibn kyari Ibn Ibrahim Elkanemi lauded the efforts of the government and pledged to support where necessary.

VC BOSU PAYS THANK YOU VISIT TO SHEHU OF BAMA.

The Vice Chancellor Borno State University, Professor Umar kyari Sandabe was on Sunday at his home town of BAMA on a thank you and farewell visit on the Shehu of BAMA, Alh. Umar Kyari Umar El-kanemi.

In a remark, Professor Sandabe said, he was at the palace to formally inform the Royal father that, his tenure as pioneer Vice Chancellor of BOSU has ended.

He therefore thanked the Royal father for his support and fatherly advise while in office and hopes that such will continue at wherever he may find himself.

In his response, the Shehu of BAMA, Alh. Umar kyari Umar El-kanemi, thanked the outgoing VC for the visit and achievements recorded during his five years tenure.

The Shehu also applauded the VC's modest contribution to the socio-economic and educational development of Bama Local Government.

The Shehu wished him success in his future endeavors.

Prayers for peace in the state and the Shehu was offered by BOSU chief Imam, Sheikh Mohammed Abubakar Kachallah.

The VC was accompanied on the visit by management staff of the university.

The Bama Community Thanks, Governor Zulum, for the transformative impact in the local government area.

In a special visit by the elders forum along with stakeholders in Bama to his royal highest, the Shehu of Bama, yesterday, The delegations were insightful about the achievements made so far under the Zulum administration.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Baba Kura Kaigama, the Kaigama of Bama, extended profound gratitude to Governor Babagana Umara Zulum for his commitment to the development of Bama.

He said Zulum's tireless efforts, notably as the pioneer commissioner of reconstruction, rehabilitation, and resettlement, were equally acknowledged, for he has embarked on a transformative impact on the community. Such as the rehabilitation of Shehu's Palace, educational institutions, and crucial interventions in health, water, sanitation, and agriculture, amongst others.

Kaigama, who spoke on behalf of the stakeholders, highlighted the near completion of the 75-kilometer Bama-Maiduguri road as a significant milestone in restoring travel convenience in this post-insurgency era. While celebrating these achievements, the community also voiced appeals for further extensions to connect satellite villages and additional openings for settlements.

Ummul Khair Islamiya holds its fourth Qur'anic graduation ceremony, where it graduates six girls and three boys who completed the Holiday Qur'an in the school.

The event which took place at the old Bama Primary School was graced, among others, the acting Aja of Bama Dina, parents, and dignitaries from the local authority and the Bama emirate council.

His Royal Highness, The Shehu of Bama, (Dr.) Umar Kyari Umar El-kanemi, undertook a proactive visit to assess and strengthen the involvement of Village Development Committees (VDCs) and Ward Development Committees (WDCs) in Primary Healthcare activities within resettled communities under his jurisdiction yesterday.

The visit aimed to evaluate the quality and functionality of The Basic Health Care Provision Fund (BHCPF) facilities in Bama Local Government Area, ensuring compliance with national guidelines, especially in newly resettled areas like Nguro Soye and Banki, where the provision of one BHCPF facility per ward is mandated.

During the visit, key healthcare centers such as MCH Bama, FSP Tandari, MCH Referral, Indimi Estate Clinic, and Soye Clinic were inspected, reflecting a comprehensive approach to assessing the healthcare infrastructure and its alignment with national standards for community well-being.

Bama: Governor Zulum approves the construction of 1,000 resettlement houses in Darajamal and Mayanti communities, to be completed within four months.

Darajamal and Mayanti communities were displaced by Boko Haram in 2014, and the said houses to be built are part of the government's efforts to resettle internally displaced persons and also provide social infrastructure and resettlement packages to the affected areas in the state.

Zulum also visited the Banki Junction, where he plans to resettle displaced persons and revive commercial activities. The governor assures collaboration with the military to secure these areas and support residents in rebuilding their lives.

Zulum Visits Banki town in Bama local government area orders rehabilitation of health facilities.

During his visit to Banki town, Borno State Governor Babagana Umara Zulum directed the complete rehabilitation and reconstruction of the Tarmuwa village and building of a comprehensive health care center owned by the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital.

Tarmuwa village, located about 5 kilometers from Banki town of Bama, had been completely destroyed by Boko Haram insurgents like other towns and villagsbon Bama. However, this rehabilitation project is part of the broader efforts by the Borno State Government to rebuild communities affected by insurgency and create an enabling environment for sustainable development.

Additionally, Governor Zulum inspected ongoing market and school projects and ordered the completion of houses for teachers in the area.
