❗️ During the night and morning, Russia launched around 120 missiles and 90 drones at Ukraine, President Zelenskyy reported.

“Our energy infrastructure across Ukraine was targeted. Sadly, there is damage from both hits and falling debris. In Mykolaiv, a drone attack resulted in the deaths of two people and injuries to six others, including two children. My condolences to the families and friends of the victims. Currently, there are areas without power, and all necessary teams are working to address the damage and restore services,” said the president.

MPs from all parties in Great Britain have urged the government to back Ukraine's demands for a fair peace through diplomatic pressure and military support, according to The Guardian.

“Keir Starmer’s government must provide strong support to Ukraine in the coming months as both sides work to secure their positions before talks. International backing is key to achieving a just peace, protecting Ukraine’s sovereignty, and thwarting Putin’s plans,” stated the inter-party parliamentary group on Ukraine, marking 1,000 days of resistance against Russia's large-scale aggression (November 19).

Alex Sobel, head of the group and Labour MP, stressed that “Britain should support Kyiv’s stance on any concessions and not pressure President Zelensky to meet Russian demands.”
“No other country has the right to negotiate away Ukrainian territory,” he added.

Sarah Green, co-chair of the group and a member of the Liberal Democrats, noted that the upcoming year will be challenging for Ukraine, emphasizing that “Great Britain must offer firm and unwavering support.”

This announcement comes as Jonathan Powell, former chief of staff to Prime Minister Tony Blair and key figure in the Northern Ireland peace talks, has been appointed as the government’s national security adviser. The publication points out that this may signal the British government’s preparation for potential negotiations.

Ukraine is advancing towards NATO integration with the launch of the Ukraine-NATO Joint Analysis, Training, and Education Center (JATEC) set to begin operations in Poland next year, as announced by Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense.

Established following the decisions of NATO’s Washington Summit, JATEC will be the first joint institution between Ukraine and NATO. Its mission is to ensure the full compatibility of the Ukrainian Armed Forces with NATO standards and expedite Ukraine’s membership into the Alliance.

Deputy Minister of Defense Brigadier General Anatoly Klochko noted that the Center would enhance defense cooperation and knowledge exchange. Additionally, a secure data communication system between Ukraine and NATO will be implemented, marking Ukraine as the first non-member partner to establish such a system with the Alliance.

In recent weeks, North Korea has supplied Russia with 50 M1989 170mm self-propelled howitzers and 20 upgraded 240mm multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) capable of firing guided missiles, according to the Financial Times.

The M1989 Koksan howitzers, produced in 1989, feature a unique 170mm caliber and a long barrel that enables a firing range of up to 40 km with conventional shells and up to 60 km with rocket-assisted ammunition. Their firing rate is one to two shots every five minutes. This weapon poses a significant counter-battery threat, potentially targeting the positions of Ukrainian long-range artillery like the PzH2000, CAESAR, and 2C22 ‘Bohdana,’ Militarnyy noted.

The inclusion of these systems will also grant Russia access to North Korea’s 170mm ammunition stockpile.

The modernized MLRS provided are based on the Soviet BM-27 ‘Uragan’ 220mm system. North Korea reported a successful test of this upgraded system in May. According to a senior Ukrainian official, Pyongyang intends to evaluate its effectiveness in combat.

Since the summer, only 6% of drones launched by Russia have reached their targets in Ukraine, as revealed by an Associated Press analysis based on Ukrainian military reports. Most drones are intercepted or disrupted by electronic warfare, while fake drones—comprising over half of each wave—often crash on their own.

An informed source indicated that Russia started deploying fake drones in 2022 to overwhelm Ukrainian air defenses and locate their positions. Initially, these decoys included balloons with corner reflectors. Over time, Russia has refined and experimented with this tactic.

Journalists also noted that the number of drones used against Ukraine in the past month increased by 80% compared to August.

Russian armed forces have modified Iran’s Shahed drones with thermobaric warheads, first used against Ukraine in October, according to Wiadomosci. These warheads release a combustible aerosol before detonation, creating a powerful shock wave and intense pressure surge upon ignition.

Analysis of drone fragments reveals the use of Russian Comet navigation systems and Chinese control panels. While it is unclear if this improves targeting accuracy, the resulting explosions are significantly more destructive.

Additionally, the Russian defense firm Ruselectronics has developed a radar-absorbing coating for thermobaric artillery systems, making them undetectable to radars, targeting systems, and thermal imagers.

British defense officials noted that Russia deployed 1,300 kamikaze drones toward Ukraine in September. Ukrainian sources claim over 2,000 drones targeted civilian and military sites in October alone.

The G7 leaders issued a statement marking 1,000 days since the onset of Russia's large-scale war against Ukraine.

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni initiated the statement. Today marks the 997th day of Ukraine's resistance against Russian aggression.

'We, the leaders of the G7 countries, reaffirm our unwavering support for Ukraine for as long as necessary. We stand in solidarity with Ukraine in its fight for sovereignty, freedom, independence, territorial integrity, and recovery. We also acknowledge the impact of Russian aggression on vulnerable populations worldwide.

After 1,000 days of conflict, we recognize the immense suffering endured by the people of Ukraine. Despite these challenges, Ukrainians have shown unparalleled resilience and determination in defending their land, culture, and people.

Russia remains the sole barrier to achieving a just and lasting peace. The G7 reiterates its commitment to holding Russia strictly accountable through sanctions, export controls, and other effective measures.

We remain united with Ukraine.'

Christian Dürr, leader of Germany’s Free Democratic Party (FDP), has suggested that the Bundestag could potentially vote on the provision of long-range Ta**us missiles to Ukraine. Dürr stated that given the support from the Christian Democratic Union (CDU)/Christian Social Union (CSU) and the Greens, such a proposal might pass.

Dürr also criticized Chancellor Olaf Scholz for claiming that the coalition could collapse, noting that Scholz aimed to allocate an additional three billion euros promised to Ukraine. He argued that while this sum would be feasible within a 488-billion-euro budget, it was unrealistic with only 15 billion available.

Emphasizing the urgency of military aid, Dürr remarked, “If the situation in Ukraine is dramatic, money is not the first thing we need. We proposed that Ta**us cruise missiles should finally be delivered to Ukraine.”
