Welcome to the new and improved Emalahleni Times.

We are proud to announce the rebranding of Witbank Times titled "Emalahleni Times." Our mission is to keep the community of Emalahleni well informed about the current affairs of the city, we pride ourselves in providing information that is non biased and delivered while it is still relevant to our audience.

After spending some time of on social media we got to reflect and make a few changes in the way we interact with our audience. We than discovered that WhatsApp is currently the most effective platform to personally interact with our loyal customers.

"For me Art without emotions is pretty much useless." which is why we would like to thank each and every member in our community for the love and support you've given us thus far. We know we still under 1k followers on our social media pages however it's good to know that we only have members who appreciates our content in this platforms. As you know creating a masterpiece is not a one day job since it's not just content to us.

It's content that stand the test of time; content meant to heal broken souls and help one see light even in the mist of darkness. When an artist creates a masterpiece; the artist has to sacrifice a piece of him/herself and share it with the world. Honestly it's a bit tough for one to detach from his work however we need to come into terms that we also business people and people like us have a service to provide but it wouldn't be a service if it wasn't for our community.

Earlier this year the Witbank Times community met with the Emalahleni local municipality in finding new ways of communicating of service delivery challenges the municipality faces. As emphasized by the Municipal manager Mr Sizwe Mayisela on the 2nd of February 2023 that "All sections in the municipality must communicate challenges to the residents in time to reduce unnecessary riots." 

He also added that All managers are tasked to think creatively about revenue generating and ensure that their functions are meant to bring income into the city. This is when we met with the communication room to establish this project. It's not a secret that Nowadays word of mouth is much more influential than old traditional ways of communicating. Social media has taken its course, community group chats are being created and it takes one emotional human being to start raising questions that will frustrate the community of Emalahleni. However sometimes word of mouth causes alot of speculations that leads to unnecessary riots, riots that could be prevented if the community had a better communication with it's municipality.

We as the Witbank Times community saw an opportunity to be a neutral bridge  between our Communities and it's municipality. With this initiative we aim to keep the community well informed and updated about affairs of the city.

The Rebirth of Kabelo N.Cinematic Maepa is based on the Art of fear. Fear of telling my story talking about the monster that drives me to have a good heart honestly my fear was being named as crazy because of my intelligence.

I've been trying to runaway from this gift of mine cause I end up being hurt but the more I try to move on. Anger builds up.
