It is official. The Black Cricket is going to be in living black and white! 😃

Here is the first page. Pencils and grey tones by Scott Sackett and inks by Jeff Austin. As the writer of this series, I am VERY excited to see this character come to life on the comics page. 😃 My hope is readers will like him too.

It's a great day when you get a new piece of artwork in your inbox. It's an amazing day when you get TWO pieces of artwork!
The first was from Joey Martinez, who is killing it with the story he has been working on. I wish I could post the page, but it contains potential spoilers.

The second page I can share though and it is the first page of the second Blondeshell story by Daniel Gorman and it looks fantastic. The former Atomic Blonde made her debut in Exciting Comics #31 from Antarctic Press and we are following that issue up with a story that deals with the fallout (no pun intended) from that story.

Here is a panel from the second chapter of The Black Cricket. The penciler on the series, Scott Sackett, really nailed the 80's vibe I want for the series. 😃 Below are his comments.

Scott said: "Panel 1 of page 9 of The Black Cricket. I was trying to emulate those ‘multi-figure’ panels John Byrne used to do occasionally in Iron Fist. The script kinda has him doing a tumble, but I wanted to direct the eye to the next panel so I had him bounce off a brick wall. "

Hello everyone! As you may have noticed, RedLine Comics Studios has changed its name. We did so after checking and seeing there was a previous comic book publisher that used the name RedLine.

From now on, we are Kowai Hora Comics Studios. The name is Japanese and stands for "Scary Horror." We went with this because we like making horror comics and also because it sounds like a really cool name.

That is not to say our focus is strictly horror. We have stories in the works from all genres. And we hope to have some big announcements soon about some upcoming projects.

To everyone who has backed RedLine, we thank you. Now it is time to move forward under a new name, but the same dedication to quality comics.

Hello everyone! Just a reminder, my next convention appearance is Charlotte Comicon on Sunday, August 6 in Concord, NC! Also at this show will be two of my favorite collaborators, Brian Wingrove and Rich Stahnke! Rich and I both will have copies of Planet Comics #16 from Antarctic Press available which feature our story, "Unhealthy Appetites," and I will also have copies of Planet Comics #10 and copies of my first book, Herc and Thor Volume One.

Rich Stahnke and I have found several dealers who have verified the news. Our story, "Unhealthy Appetites," is indeed in Planet Comics #16 from Antarctic Press! Below is the cover of this issue and the first page of our story!
