We were back last week to see our friend be inducted into Florida’s broadcasting Hall of Fame. We were NOT upset about the fact it all took place at arguably Florida’s most luxurious and historic hotel.

It’s hard to imagine over 400K died on these beaches and towns that look like fairy tales in time capsules. The towns and beaches are quite peaceful, ironically. Adorable really. But with the help of a guide, reminders of its past are hidden every where like Easter eggs.

Friends, family… followers…
2023 was a challenge so great for me I needed all my energy internalized. Despite helping so many figure out how to enjoy the hell out of life I wasn’t completely up front with how I was living it. I didn’t realize posting about an amazing life of adventures with your wife doesn’t suit for true intimacy… no matter how good the photo looks. I almost lost her.
For the last six months or so I’ve refocused and taken inventory on what’s important, rebalanced and got back to basics.
✅ Tightened (and unwound) up a bit w/ my body.
✅ Moved my parents back to NYC w/ my siblings.
✅ Went on some work trips (I have tips for you 😁)
✅ Traveled internationally alone 🇨🇴
✅ Put some better boundaries on laziness
When I say laziness, it encompasses a number of things but mainly ‘bringing it’ with my wife ❤️ We are creating better habits with one another. I want to tell you more about that, planning on doing that with a podcast… but, here are some things you can expect / hold ME accountable as we resume Gent Life’s content:

🤵♂️ Will still provide fashion fits / inspo
🧠 Will share my life hacks for greatness
(That can mean fitness, finance, happiness)

Why are you off today?
Just typing this brought some tears to my eyes as I can recall the overwhelming feeling of thousands of souls / at the site of thousands of graves. Happy Memorial Day to those whose families paid the ultimate sacrifice. 🙏🏻
PS: Aside from seeing the American cemetery the beaches and towns along the coast of Normandy are ironically quite peaceful time capsules. I highly recommend a visit (history buff or not). Direct Message for how to get there / what to do!

Raise your hand if you go to the gym regularly... 🙋♂️ Raise your hand if you go to therapy regularly... 😬 I look at therapy like a workout for your mind and soul. To me, its even more important than the maintenance on my body. Why? I credit therapy for allowing the mental / emotional capacity to even decide to the go to the gym in the first place. It helps me break harmful patterns I'm not even aware of... that I'm absolutely in control of.
