“Beautifully fu**ed and brilliantly chaotic” - I can’t describe it in any other way.

This film extorts the erotically fantasised and pornographic roaring era of hollywoods transition from silent film to the “Talkies”

This film is not for the faint heart. It’s for the wild hearted and the film lovers. Chazelles specifically crafted love story is like no other.

It’s all emersive, all inclusive and all one big fu**ed fantasy.

Margot Robbie’s performance is one that moves and excited and equally separates her from this generation of storytellers. Between her textbook dirty jersey accent to Pitts hollywood charm of the ages. And it can’t go without saying that Diego Calvas charm and touching heart and ability to bring the story back down to earth.

The music cannot go unnoticed. The mixture of rhythm and blues that run through with the playfully exciting jazz music. It’s a story in itself. However there is one element that runs stronger than all the others. The small chords and those small riffs of blues and jazz from Chazelles other successful film La La Land. Those small chords and touches of magic to my ears are what being this back down to a human level. Where one story of hollywood heartbreak and dreams meet another.

This may be one wild ride of a film but interlaced throughout all of it is Love. Love for ones passion. Cinema. To say I walked out in full fledged tears and a stronger lust for my dreams in life. I have only been so touched by so many films but Chazelle has been one director to do more than any other.
