for you have been my protector and helper

from choking fire on every side,
and from the midst of fire that I had not kindled,

Once I get to (fill in the blank). When I have (fill in the blank). Wait till (fill in the blank) happens, then I’ll be able to (fill in the blank).
I, myself, fall into the trap and lies that we are told from Satan, that once I have the one thing I desire, then I will do what it is I want to. But when we sit there and believing in that “perfect” timing to do something, start something, say something; we are believing in the lie that God is holding good from us. We lose focus of what we have, in idolizing what’s to come.
Luke 16:10
“The one who faithfully manages the little he has been given will be promoted and trusted with greater responsibilities. But those who cheat with the little they have been given will not be considered trustworthy to receive more.”
If Gods promised you your greatest desire, it’s not punishment and it’s not withholding and it’s not delay, it’s preparation for giving you more than you’ve ever imagined. He’s given you the current situation to change, to grow, to build your character, plant your roots, impact the ones around you, be the light in the Kingdom He has current gave you.
Mark 11:24
“Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.”
Focus on God and your current situation. Our Lord and His faithfulness is pure, true and always on time. Lean on Him and not your own understanding.
The love you want, is the love He wants to give you. In 1 Corinthians 13:13, Paul writes, “So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.”

Yeah, you are worth the wait…
It’s our job to believe in what we believe. Thats where your faith lies in God and His ways. To be hopeful and believe in what our heart desires, knowing that we are called to believe and in doing so, we surrender the outcome to Him; the One who is faithful.
“Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD”
- Psalm 27:14
We believe in the Promise. He delivers the outcome.

I asked the Lord to give me love -
His love for souls in sin;
Instead He gave me weeping eyes,
A broken heart within.

I asked Him why He gave me tears,
He took me back in time
To when my Savior lived on earth,
When He was in His prime.

I saw Him go to where His friend
Was lying in a grave;
The sisters and their friends were grieved -
What love to them He gave.

You see my Savior standing there
Was also grieved that day,
He wept great heaving tears with sobs
Till those who saw could say:

"Behold we see now how He loved."
His tears revealed His heart
His love was evident through tears -
I saw God's point in part.

And then He took me to the day
The people hailed their King
While Jesus enters to their cheers
The children run and sing.

But when He saw Jerusalem
Stretched out before His eye,
His soul was moved with grief for them;
It moved His heart to cry.

Oh, as I read those solemn words
I feel that they are sweet
For in them I behold His love
So perfect and complete.

To one more place He took me now,
At midnight I beheld
The Son of God bowed down with grief
In deepest sorrow held.

I heard His weeping, strong and deep,
But through it I discerned
He prayed for me - it melted me,
His love for me I learned.

With tearful joy I thanked the Lord
For answering my prayer,
For giving me His love for souls -
His tears, His heart, His care.

To love when it doesn’t seem fit, is to be less like me and more like Him…
God has called us to do all things under the sky with love. For as much as He loves us our goal is to Prot ray that same gift of love to those around us. As it is not flesh against flesh but it is good against evil.
The world tells you to run, to close your heart, to only give what you get, to never cross the ocean for someone who would not cross a puddle for you. But God, He says to just love while guarding your heart. You become more like Him and less like yourself when you choose to love in the thick of it all. You never know what a little love could do for someone and their life.
“Owe no one anything, except to love each other, for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law” … “Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.” … “Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth.”
Romans 13:8 … 1 John 4:11 … 1 John 3:18
Love saved my life, will you let it save someone else’s?? I thank God for you, and I am beyond grateful for your obedience.

The truest devotion and commitment to God is when…
We can put aside our knowledge, our perspective, our want and our desire of something in our life that we want to cling to so badly and trust that God will do what He said He will do. Waiting takes courage, patience and perseverance. That promise will be tested, challenged, questioned and much more; but waiting means putting your present desires aside for something greater down the road.
“I have spoken, and I will bring it to pass; I have purposed, and I will do it.”
Isaiah 46:8-11 ESV

Sometimes, some things are brought into our lives for what seems like the blink of an eye and upon opening your eyes it’s gone.
That’s where you need to draw closer to God to understand the reason/purpose/plan. Some things are meant to come back. Maybe you needed to see what God has for you in order for you to become the child He knows you to be. Once your healed, once your matured, once your rooted in Him, once you can hear Him, once your fulfilled with Him, once your committed to Him; what seemed to come crashing down so quickly, is slowly being rebuilt into something far greater than what it once was, by the One who gave it to you in the first place.
So please, don’t lose hope. He’s been steps ahead of us, places we have yet to walk, planting seeds set for harvest, changing your hearts, aligning your minds and guiding your footsteps to cross paths once again.
And that’s when the trials and tribulations, patience and perseverance, waiting on God will turn into unmatchable joy and all you can say is “God did this. Thank you God.”
“The Lord kills and brings to life; he brings down to Sheol and raises up. The Lord makes poor and makes rich; he brings low and he exalts.”
1 Samuel 2:6-7 ESV
What’s truly meant for you, promised by God, will pass, no matter how far away it may seem.
