*Fluke?*
Robert Tonyan burst on the scene last year with a ridiculous 11 touchdowns. What makes it more impressive is that Tonyan had a total of only 59 targets. To put into context, Travis Kelce was targeted 145 times, with 105 receptions and 11 touchdowns. Tonyan caught 52 of those 59 targets, which is an 88% catch rate. The question for fantasy owners in 2021 is, was that just a fluke, or does he have Spiderman's hands? Tonyan, at his current ADP of #99, would be a steal if he is targeted this much in the red zone. But even with Rodgers coming back, I cannot see how Tonyan will be this successful with such a low volume. I would draft Tonyan in the double digits rounds.

*Three's Company*

Tee Higgins will be part of a three-headed monster regarding the wide receiving core in Cincinnati. A/J.Green left, but a younger receiver will now step on the field in the name of Ja'Marr Chase. He, I believe, will be heavily involved in the passing game, his rookie year. Higgins was in the starting lineup in week 3; he excelled with Burrow until his injury. During those seven weeks with Burrow, he was targeted 55 times and caught 37 of those targets. That was despite Boyd seeing 63 targets and Green being targeted 46 times in those seven weeks. But Chase scares me, and I believe Higgins will take a significant hit on his production. Especially since Burrow already has established chemistry with Chase since the LSU days. Higgins would have been a WR2/WR3 without Chase on board. But he falls, in my eyes, to a WR3/WR4 for this upcoming draft.

*Old Reliable*

Since 2015 Russell Wilson has thrown for over 4,000 yards four out of the last six seasons. Wilson has thrown for over 30 touchdowns 5 out of the previous six seasons. Not only has he done it with his arm, but he has rushed for over 300 yards five out of the last six seasons. And over 500 yards rushing three out of the previous six. Now he did tail off at the end of the season last year; he managed to throw for two touchdowns or more only twice out of the previous six games. Compared to the first ten games where he threw multiple touchdowns in nine of those games. But the end of last season should not deter anyone from picking Wilson as a top-five quarterback. He has been a top-three quarterback in fantasy four out of the previous seven years.

*Who's the man?*

New coach staffing with a new quarterback usually spells disaster for a veteran like T.J. But with Golladay leaving along with Marvin Jones Jr. and his 115 targets. T.J. becomes the rational number one target for Goff. T.J. had 101 targets with 67 receptions; I can see those stats increasing, but the only concern will be touchdowns. He had six last year, and I don't know how many red zones opportunities T.J. will have with an unpredictable offense.

*Top 10WR?*

D.K.Metcalf has gone from raw talent to out-of-this-world NFL talent. Imagine there were eight wide receivers picked before Seattle drafted Metcalf with their last pick in the second round. Well, this is this fantasy football, and I don't see many owners overlooking him. D.K. had 12 games with four receptions or more. Eight out of those 12 games, he had 90 yards receiving or more. So before we even count any of his ten touchdowns, he already had 13 points in a PPR league. He is a certified top ten wide receiver in fantasy.

*TE putting up WR numbers*

Travis Kelce is a first-round pick in any league. You are getting a tight end that puts up wide receiver numbers. Travis broke the record for most yards in a season by a tight end at 31. Travis Kelce would have ranked the fourth-best wide receiver with his stats from last year. There should be no hesitation to pick him in the first round, especially if you are at the tail end of the draft.

*Two-face?*

Which Kareem Hunt are fantasy owners going to get in 2021? The one who had 529 rushing yards and was an RB7 week 1 thru week 8. Or will we get the Hunt that rushed for 312 yards and was an RB17 week 9 thru 17? What's more concerning is that Hunt had similar touches between the two different halves of the season. The most significant difference was Nick Chubb coming back from injured reserve, week 10. I see Hunt as an RB3 with a high upswing.

*Tick Tock On Ben?*

Ten Quarterbacks had 30 touchdown passes or more, and Big Ben was one of them. With that stat alone, you would think he was a relevant fantasy quarterback, but you would be wrong. He finished QB14 and was a nonfactor towards the end of last season. The Steelers running offense went into the dumpster, which is part of the reason Ben had to throw so much. He attempted more than 40 passes 7 out of the last ten games he played. And Big Ben still was not relevant with that high volume; now I expect a more balanced offense with the addition of Najee. But that doesn't spell fantasy relevance for Ben; he might be a QB you use in a tight spot or good matchup. That's all, folks....

*How far does he fall?*

Josh Jacobs was behind the eight ball for many fantasy owners since he isn't involved in the passing game. Now you add Kenyan Drake, who does the same things as Jacobs, with similar results. They both had identical stats last year; both of them had double digits touchdowns(Drake 10 & Jacobs 12). Both running backs ran for 4.0 yards per carry. Jacobs did have 14 more targets than Drake, but is there any doubt that Drake will cut into his touches, especially in the passing game. Now, this should drop his ADP significantly. Currently, it sits at #29, so you are looking at a running back who will be drafted in the third round. But remember, he is still a running back who will get 250 touches, and Jacobs is one of four running backs who averaged more than 18 carries per game. The other three were Henry, Cook, and Mixon. I like Jacobs as a late third-round pick.

*Hopkins Hands*

In the last four seasons, Hopkins has seen 647 targets and caught 430 of them. He hasn't seen less than 150 targets in a season since 2014. He has had more than 1,100 yards receiving six times out of 8 seasons in the NFL. I have a hard time believing that A.J.Green or Randall Moore will be cutting into those numbers. The only thing that will diminish DeAndre Hopkins's numbers is Kyle Murray's health.

*Where is the love?*

Ryan Tannehill seems to be the Rodney Dangerfield of football fantasy; he gets no respect. Even though since taking over in 2019 (he started in week 7), Ryan has thrown for 6,561 yards and 55 touchdowns to his 13 interceptions. Another fun stat Ryan Tannehill had 11 games with 30 passing attempts or less. Patrick Mahomes only had three games with 30 passing attempts or less. At the same time, Russell Wilson had four games, with 30 attempts or less. Tannehill scored only 30pts less than Mahomes and 23 points less than Wilson. Now you add Julio Jones to the mix with a healthy, insert an amen emoji here, A.J.Brown. Tannehill might be taking over a spot in the top five quarterbacks.

*Bounce Back Year?*

Clyde Edwards-Helaire didn't have the year most fantasy owners envisioned. The four touchdowns are the stat that pops out, and all four came before week 12. What also affected him was when KC traded for Bell, which took some of his touches away. But Helaire still managed 1,100 yards from scrimmage in only 13 games. With no Bell returning, he should average 18-20 touches per game. I cannot see another year with only four touchdowns in the number one offense in the NFL. A healthy Helaire with a revamped offensive line is being drafted as an RB14, which would be a steal.

*Scary Terry*

Terry McLaurin has had an array of quarterbacks his first two years in the NFL. Terry still had over 2,000 yards receiving in his first two years. He increased his receiving touchdowns from four the first year to seven touchdowns his second year. Now looking at these numbers, this doesn't put Terry in the WR1 conversation, but again, Terry did this with Haskins, Smith, Allen, and Heinicke. Now he will be working with Fitzpatrick, who does wonders for his wide receivers, and Terry will be the number one option in that offense. I expect more than 145 targets this upcoming season.

*Key to the city*

Tua's rookie season was eventful, to say the least, filled with nagging injuries and Fitz magic looking over his shoulder. It's hard to assess Tua from last year fully, but what we do know now. Tua has the keys to this brand-new car, filled with two new wide receivers in Waddle and Fuller. And a formidable run game with Gaskins at the helm. Tua's numbers will see a significant spike, but will he be fantasy relevant. I don't see Tua being as relevant as his Alabama counterpart, Hurts in Philadelphia. But Tua is someone you might want to have in the wings, in case he puts it all together because there might be a rocket ship ready to take off.

*Run run run*

Jalen Hurts, from week 13-week17, ran for 301 yards and three rushing touchdowns. His running ability alone makes him a high upside Quarterback. The issue I have is his throwing ability; he had a 52% completion rate and six touchdowns to four interceptions. But Hurts got some of the growing pains out the way and should improve.

*Ready for a full workload?*

Mike Davis showed the talent he had when CMC went down, but he did wear down as the season progressed, along with his workload. During week 7-week 10, he had 113 rushing yards in total for those four weeks. To go along with 81 yards receiving in those four weeks. Compared to week 3-week 6, where he had 271 yards rushing and 135 yards receiving. Now we add Arthur Smith as the new head coach, and you see what happened with Derrick Henry. No one is comparing Davis to Henry but given the lack of running back depth. The Falcons have to be comfortable giving Davis the entire workload.

*Picked up where he left off?*

Before Dak's gruesome injury, he was on pace to have a record-breaking season. In his four games, he passed for 450 yards or more, in three of them. He rushed for three touchdowns before he was sidelined; only nine quarterbacks had more rushing touchdowns than Dak, who played in 4 1/2 games. Now you are giving him many weapons, and I expect Dak to pick up where he started.

*50/50 split?*

Swift showed flashes of the talent he possesses and what he can do for your fantasy down the stretch of last season. He scored double-digit points in four out of the previous five games he played. But Swift is walking into a bad Detroit team, who might not get much scoring opportunity. Then you add rookie running back Williams, who definitely will get his fair share of touches. And you have a very uncertain situation in Detroit; Swift can be an RB2 just based on the volume he should be receiving.

*Sophmore slump?*

Justin Herbert is going into his sophomore year with two significant changes, a new head coach in Brandon Staley and a new offensive coordinator in Joe Lombardi. Now usually, those types of changes could spell trouble for a young QB. But I'm not buying it; in fact, I can see Herbert being a top 5 QB, worst-case scenario, and top ten QB.

*What to do, What to do?*

James Robinson came out last year like a bat out of hell. He exceeded all presumptions, but that was with the old regime. The Jaguar's front office has gotten a complete make-over. And the new coaching staff drafted an explosive rookie in the first round. That doesn't bode well for Robinson, but it doesn't make him irrelevant. I see him as a running back who will split with Etienne, so he is closer to a flex play than last year, which was a starting running back on most fantasy teams.

*Stud WR1?*

Justin Jefferson became involved in the Vikings offense in week 3, so his numbers from last year are even more absurd. He averaged a first down and a half per reception. (15.9 yards) Cousins targeted Jefferson 125 times, and he had a ridiculous 70% catch rate. He had seven games over 100 yards and eight games with more than five receptions. I know Adam Thielen is a red-zone favorite for Cousins, but I don't expect Jefferson's number to diminish.

*The come up*

Stefon Diggs was an absolute monster last year, and he probably won a lot of fantasy owners a championship. The biggest reason is where fantasy owners drafted Diggs in 2020. He had the most superior value as far as ADP goes. Stefon Diggs had an ADP of #65 and WR27, finished #3 as far as wide receivers go. Now, my friends, you will have to pay for his services; his current ADP is #14.

*Depth at running back?*

Myles Gaskins had 18 touches per game last year, which ranked ninth among running backs. Gaskin also gained 47 targets in just ten games, so when we look at this type of volume over an entire season. You begin to see him as a solid RB2. The issue I have is that you have depth at running back with the Malcolm Brown signing and Salvon Ahmed both competing for backup running back position. Gaskins is the starting running back but will the more oversized Malcolm Brown cut into his goal-line attempts. Can Ahmed show glimpses of what he did last season, where he averaged 4.3 yards on 75 carries and 5.6 yards on 11 catches?

*Old reliable*

Tom Brady seems to be beating father time with every season that passes. Tom Brady isn't a running quarterback, which is the only real knock on him for fantasy purposes. But the volume of passes he saw in Tampa Bay last year, 626 pass attempts. I believe this makes up for his inability to run, and he has plethoral weapons around him. I see him being a top 10 QB this year.

*Comeback Player?*

When we refer to an athlete as the "comeback player," it usually means they had a bad year the year before. But in Burrow's case, that doesn't apply, and I mean, Burrow put up some exquisite numbers as a rookie. But that is how excited I am for him in 2021. The injury should be some concern, but it looks like he will be fully healthy. Now you add Chase to the already stacked receiving core and that rehabilitated offensive line. Last year the offensive line allowed 32 sacks in ten games with Burrow. Cut that down to 22, and it's a world of difference. I think we are going to see some high numbers from this offense.

Not known as a running back coming out of college, Gibson averaged 4.7 yards per carry and scored 11 rushing touchdowns in his rookie year. Now I believe he will be the workhorse for Washington, and the offense should be more dynamic, with Fitz magic at QB. There is a lot of upside with Gibson this year; be aware you will not be the only one on this bandwagon. Be prepared to reach for Gibson.

*Gronk Smash*

Rob Gronkowski is one of the best Fantasy Football tight ends ever to play the game we love. His healthy years in New England were magical for fantasy footballers, but in 2020 we, for the first time, saw Tampa Gronk, and it was different. Gronkowski finished as the 8th best tight end in PPR formats scoring 149.30 points which were 163.46 points behind Kelce (the number 1 TE). So even though Gronk was a TE1, his production left a lot to be desired. The Bucs are deep on offense with 3 prime-time WRs and 2 work-horse RB's so it's hard to envision Gronk doing much better than he did last season. Gronk is one of Brady's favorite red-zone targets, but the catches and volume really won't be there. I think Gronk is a decent backup and a low-end TE1, but I will try to snag someone with more volume upside and hope for the best. - TDS Taco

*Untapped Potential*

Stafford spent the first 11 years of his career stuck with the inept Lions. During his last six years in Detroit, we saw Stafford improve his completion percentage and decrease his turnovers, yet it never led to winning. As a result, Matthew Stafford was traded to the rams and starts the season as the 12th ranked quarterback and 85th ranked player overall in PPR leagues. I think that Sean McVay and Stafford could be a fantastic combination for fantasy footballers, especially with the run game taking a hit. Matt could end up being one of the best values at QB in this draft and one of the last QB’s I see as a viable starting option on my teams. - TDS Taco

*Back to Back??*

Last season Davonte Adams went off scoring 358.40 points for the season and comes into 2021 as the WR 1 on most sites. He led the NFL in receiving touchdowns (18), was 4th in receiving yards (1374), and 3rd in catches (115) in 2020. Adams was helped by Aaron Rodgers having an MVP season and the fact he played 14 games last season. In Adams’s seven-year career, he has played an average of 13.2 games per season, never playing in less than 11 games. Davonte also has 62 touchdowns in 93 games showing how valuable he is in the red zone. The biggest question surrounding Adams is will Rodgers be locked in when the season starts, or will there be questions. Adams's value is directly tied to having Rodgers as his QB, and hopefully, during training camp, all our questions will be answered - TDS Taco.

Ezekiel Elliot disappointed many managers last season with his sub-par play once Dak went down. Zeke has shown a commitment to his body this offseason, but is that enough for a manager to forgive and forget?
