Ibrahim Abdishakur a student at Amoud University in Borama, Awdal was shot dead by the Somaliland police. His unjust killing comes at a time Somaliland police have been brutalizing and jailing anyone seen with the Somali flag.

They however denied the Somali flag being the reason behind his death. Somaliland’s false portrayal as “Democratic”

For years Somaliland has falsely portrayed herself as a “beacon of democracy” while getting millions of dollars in aid from the International Community. The Hargeysa administration has turned most regions in Northern Somalia into an open air prison.

Just within this week Hargeysa administration ordered the arrests of youth celebrating Somalia’s Independence Day in Burao, Borama, Las Anod, Erigavo among other places. Democracy died in Hargeysa. The political stance of Somalia’s northern regions of Sool, Sanaag, Buuhodle and Awdal are crystal clear. Those regions take pride as being staunch unionists. They see their future within Somalia.

We’re confident that International bodies wouldn’t want to partake in human rights violations. By approving millions of dollars annually for Somaliland administration, without holding them to account on the killings and illegal arrests of innocent people by the Somaliland administration, the International Community is aiding and abetting Somaliland in their criminal and inhumane activities in Northern Somalia. We condemn those arrests and we therefore urge international bodies like Amnesty International U.S. Mission to Somalia UNICEF Somalia UK in Somalia to take this matter seriously.

Kleptocrat Abdiqani Mohamud Jiidhe famously known as “Horgale Ina Jiidhe” is the corrupt so called “governor of Sool” Despite majority of the people of Sool disapproving him and the administration he serves, he still finds a way to sabotage private development projects fully funded by the people of Sool.

Over the last few years, the people of Sool have been funding huge development projects like roads, schools, hospitals without getting a penny from any administration. Kleptocrat Abdiqani Jiidhe, through embezzlement or bribery harasses local businesses especially accommodation businesses.

The people of Sool successfully and independently rejected to participate in secessionist elections. The corrupt so called governor, has been diverting and or misusing funds from UN agencies for local development.

The fight for freedom and independence in Northern Somalia was led by the Dervish Movement in the longest anti-colonial resistance in Sub-Saharan Africa. We will forever be grateful to each and every one of them.

The youth from regions of Somalia at a gathering in Mogadishu last night, showed exhilaration of victory after regions independently rejected to partake in Minister of Fisheries of FGS Abdullahi Bidhaan Warsame commended regions for the courageous decision. Some of the elders in attendance challenged the FGS to state it’s position regarding the political and economic situation of regions.
