This mythologising from the point of view from the Noghri is such a compelling bit of world-building. There is so much more of it in this chapter and it is all brilliant.

One of the most threatening thing about a well crafted villain is that they don't have to be influencing people directly, merely setting the stage for everything to collapse under its own weight. Something Palpatine and Thrawn have in common.

Nice flavour text like this makes the world feel a little more lived-in. Both the thoughtless action of Luke touching the trees and the unique reaction it also has to his touch. It reminds me of those touch-me-not ferns that close when you touch them 🪴
