Well, here we go. The beginning of a brand new page that will hopefully, provide you with a glimpse of the beauty in this country and the amazing people who occupy it. Who knows? Maybe we'll even say or do something that helps you to reflect and (as Gandhi said) "Be the change you wish to see in the world".
We've gotten a lot of questions. But the one asked most often is:
"Why are you doing this?"
My Response: "We did everything the way "they" said it should be done. Graduated, got married, raised a family, bought houses, got jobs that we never really loved, but trudged off to anyway, in order to buy more "stuff" and pay the mortgage. We mowed for "curb appeal" and did all of the "things" they said were the "American Dream".
And we were still unfulfilled.
My dad once told me "Don't go to your death bed saying "I wish I would have...". Go out and DO IT now. So when you go to your death bed you can say "I'm glad I did..." instead.
Nothing is forever. If this adventure doesn't pan out, we aren't stuck. We simply do something different. But at least we can say we tried.
So get out there and do something that will make you say "I'm glad I did..."
