🌽 A special specimen from the IKRA archives, a part of a jam recorded at Bar99 with Zan Hoffman !. 🌽🌽 Crusty, off-beat, full of oddball punk-ish energy, like a cassette you’d find under a seat of your parent’s old car where dad recorded tunes off the radio for mom’s graduation, somewhat of a California-in-Vilnius fantasy (in big part thanks to Zan) that touches on what we like about our music the most. 🌽The recording may be noisy and amateurish (frankly, bad), but who cares, the most important part is making music and having fun and any oddities just add on to the vibe. 🌽

Donatas has been a good friend of the collective for a very long time and his musical shenanigans have always been close to our heart - the embodied hippie energy that morphs and twists and turns with every song is a pure expression of joy, we're very glad that Donatas put it down into a mix and gave it to us to share and enjoy! Today we're releasing the first album on our label: Davai Bėgam (aka. Ugnė Makselytė) - Sirijaus Akys!
It's gonna be available on bandcamp (https://ikrakaunas.bandcamp.com/releases) right after the exclusive preview and short interview with its creator on Palanga Street Radio at 4PM on our new show IKRA SELECTS!

The album will be coming to streaming services soon too and also expect a physical release some time this year! ;)

Heya everyone, we're glad to announce that IKRA is coming out of its summer vacation and returning with an exciting announcement!
We're now AN ACTUAL LABEL!

Out first release is coming in the end of the month and we're very proud to announce that's it's by our own Davai Bėgam!

We present you a sonic fairy tale in the form of 12 movements on the meaning of dreams and visions, blending Eastern European folk traditions with an exploration of the hero's journey.

It's gonna be an exciting release, you can already pre-order it on bandcamp and it's gonna be dropping on all streaming services on the 30th of September, 2022 with a limited edition cassette release also rolling out soon enough!

🔊 Performance: HUMAN MYSTERY EQUALS THAT OF AN INSECT by IKRA

Meet multi-instrumental orchestra IKRA who are preparing a special interdisciplinary performance combining sight and sound for Litauisches Kino Goes Berlin 2021 called HUMAN MYSTERY EQUALS THAT OF AN INSECT.

🦟 Bugs from the early films of Ladislas Starevich, the Polish-Lithuanian stop-motion animation pioneer, will come to life on screen while a collective of musically minded friends will accompany it with live music.

As IKRA says, expect hectic grooves, funky moves, sleazy beats and grimy screams from the underbelly of Kaunas, combined with deep drones, atmospheric vocals, blasting electronics and funky basslines.

📍 The event will take place on November 6th at 22:00 at SPUTNIK KINO.
