A Special Weather Statement has been issued for this strong cell moving northeast at 20 mph through Wayne county. Vipir radar is indicating winds may gust upwards of 40 mph.
A Flood Advisory has been issued for parts of Wayne county until 9:30 pm. Heavy rainfall upwards of 1-2 inches has fallen and additional rainfall may lead to localized flooding.

A Flood Advisory has been issued for parts of Appling county until 8:30 pm. A storm containing heavy rainfall is estimated to have dropped around 1-2 inches of rain with the potential for another 1-2 inches. This could lead to minor flooding in low lying areas with poor drainage.
Parts of Jeff Davis county are under a Flood Advisory until 7:30 pm. Heavy rain estimated around 1-2 inches fell earlier as a strong cell moved through the area. Minor flooding may occur in areas that have been soaked for the past few days with heavy rain.

We are almost at 90 degrees in Savannah and with the humidity its feeling closer to 100. Temperatures will continue to climb this afternoon under all this sunshine but a few spots may get heat relief in the form of rain. A few thunderstorms have developed along our coast as well as to the south of the Altamaha River. Some of these cells are dumping more rain in areas that received a pretty hefty amount yesterday.
