51-year-old John Wanjau Kariuki is the embodiment of this quote because despite going through so many hurdles in life, he is still hopeful of a better tomorrow.

From losing his wife to cancer, surviving an armed robbery, surviving two fatal accidents that left him confined to a wheelchair and left him paralyzed on the right side of his body, to fracturing his leg, Wanjau has been through it all.

Rael Munene a 32-year- old lady has been through hell and back as life has not been easy since she was a child.

Born in Meru County, Rael was the seventh child in a family of 11. Her father was an abusive alcoholic hence she grew up in a house full of chaos.

At only 9 years old, Munene ran away from home in search of greener pastures and ended up working as a house help with no education as she dropped out of school in class two.
