I’ve been blessed to have my parents for all these years, yet I find myself utterly shocked, when my father passed this week. He had long bout of illness after a series of strokes. Growing up I always felt different from my peers. They wanted to have sleep-overs, birthday parties and loved getting together in large groups. I would pull back like a shrinking violet. I wouldn't describe myself as being shy. I'm not the most confident person, but I can advocate for myself. I always wondered why I didn’t feel social. I want interpersonal relationships and enjoy getting together one on one, just not in a group setting....
