You can’t focus on good strategy and content if you’re burning the candle at both ends. If you feel like you need a breather, take it! you followers will be there for you when you get back!

Tired of your hashtags getting you nowhere? Here’s how to fix that:

• reviewing your analytics are going to let you see first hand which posts are doing well from your hashtags and which aren’t. you should be checking your analytics at least once a week

• you can’t just slap any hashtag you think fits into a group. depending on your following size, you may want to use hashtags with smaller or larger volume. it’s up to you (or a social media manager) to find which fits best

• don’t use the same hashtag group over and over. they’re going to become redundant and lose their reach over time

• like the last one, you should be changing what hashtags you use every 2-3 weeks, hence why i suggest making multiple groups

• if you monitor your analytics when it comes to your hashtag performance, you can use that to discover which groups aren’t working and alter them that way. combine two groups together, split one group in two or three! change it up and find what works and what doesn’t for you!

In other words, don’t rely on going viral to be the reason your business is a success, you can make money with a “low following” (i put quotes because even a low following is a lot more than you think)

give yourself the peace of mind, research your ideal customer and market, and let the organic following grow over time

without cleaning you can leave yourself feeling overwhelmed and stressed without even realizing it, and then your productivity is going to plummet!

By just posting without prep… you’re going to affect your reach. Sure, it’s going to still be seen by people and get some engagement, but why not maximize it at all times?

There are so many parts to Instagram analytics it’s hard to tell the difference between some categories

Both of these are important but looking at the differently is going to really help your overall experience and strategy when promoting your business
•
For example, my reach count is much higher than my follower count, even though my reach isn’t displayed for everyone to see. My ratio is about 37:7 at the time of this post

I get asked all the time what I use to manage social media. Out of all the things I could think of, these were the three most popular
•
Canva: it’s a wonderful free site to use for graphic design. There is a way to upgrade and get access to even more, but their free version is very helpful in adding graphics to photos such a text or shapes and it lets you make full on graphics like the ones you see on here!
•
Later: it’s a wonderful website and app that lets you keep track of your social media posts and plan out future posts. You get to see a full calendar and keep yourself organized when deciding what to post when
•
IQHashtags: This site is great for keeping track of relevant hashtags and deciding which will best fit your posts. I use this when I am compiling hashtags to be added onto my client’s posts

Nowadays with social media being a huge part of marketing, it gets people wondering if they’re worth investing money in.

Social media takes a lot. It’s a bunch of little things that stack and stack on top of each other and the next thing you know you’re spending hours of your time trying to get it all done
•
For business owners, especially photographers, you’re already so busy with client management, shoots, editing, etc that social media gets put on the back burner. And I don’t blame you!
•
Having a social media manager can help you be sure your presence is upheld and it allows you to feel comfortable focusing on what matters to you most

A little about me. I am a social media manager who specializes in Instagram. But I also wanted to be able to reach you on Facebook! While my services do focus on Instagram, I will be posting tips for you to use when promoting your own business on social media.
