After a year of existence, Sigilist Press has eight publications, two of which have sold out, and many more planned for the coming months. It has been so much fun getting these books out into the world and I'm looking forward to producing more. The book is a series of 13 abstract drawings that explore the shape and form of reading/writing, a truly lovely work! Each purchase will also receive a card of Meijer's work listing the number of the copy received.

The publication is a 11×17” folded to 8.5 x11” booklet, with 80lb uncoated textured natural card cover, 60lb natural classic crest text inside pages, rich black ink, pressed saddle-stitched. Printed in a limited and numbered edition of 35.

About the Author:
In the late nineties Carrie Meijer started making expressive abstract
acrylic paintings and gouaches.

Later her work became stricter. By using parallel and horizontal lines intersected by vertical lines, geometric and rhythmic pen drawings were created. Around 2006 she made her first lithographs and linocuts.

Then she developed an interest in new printing techniques. Digital
prints are the result of this. One of these prints was nominated for
the “Ilse Boon Grafiekprijs” in 2012.

She also makes embossings, photographs and artist’s books.

Carrie Meijer lives and works in Amsterdam NL and regularly exhibits in various places in the Netherlands and Denmark. She is also a welcome exhibitor at the annual “Deutsch – Niederländische
Grafikbörse” in Borken DE.

Her work is included in the Wilploo collection in Enschede NL and that of the Aldegrever-Gesellschaft e.V. in Münster DE

Volodymyr Bilyk is a poet from Ukraine. He currently fights Russian propaganda and creates all sorts of information diversions. Before the war, he followed Ezra Pound's call to "Make It New" and considered the Pink Fairies song "Do It" to be a quite adequate description of his artistic intentions. I am excited to announce the launch of Sigilist Press, a new small press devoted to visual poetry. Our first publication, which will be released later in the month, is a haunting piece by Nico Vassilakis titled Asemic Migration.

We have also secured a line-up of amazing visual poets for our first year, including books by Tictac Patrizia, Michael Sikkema, Carrie Meijer, and Kiyomitsu Saito.
