Open Letter to A*o Rock Occupier

Sir,
I will begin by expressing my support for this Government, at the early stage of its inception in 2015. The thinking then was that billions stolen by past administration, should be recovered: both at home and abroad.

I was among those who clamoured for recovery of stolen billions, stashed in foreign banks. We appealed to International Community for help. While doing so, we believed that the elected President, retired Major General Muhammadu Buhari, would be in a position to sanitize the very corrupt system; judging from his pedigree. But as time went on, we discovered the fight against corruption is ineffective; as trial and prosecution of culprits are selective.

Now, we appeal you use your position to obey United Nations directive, for release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu from detention. You have left off the hook thousands of Boko Haram members detained; and still releasing more. You have gone further, to give them one form of rehabilitation package or the other. Many of them have killed, r***d, and committed all manner of heinous crimes.

We wish you let IPOB to be. Proscribing it isn’t the best way out of the situation. There are several terrorist, armed gangs, operating mostly in the Northern parts of Nigeria. They are yet to be proscribed. Instead we hear of hundreds of millions being spent on them as ransom and so on. Kaduna is a home of countless military bases and facilities. It’s very hard to believe rag-tag terrorists and kidnappers can operate in Kaduna unchallenged. Some of them abducted train passengers, and have held them hostage for months now. They release their victims piecemeal, after payment of outrageous ransom.

Unproscribing IPOB, will go a long way in easing tension in Eastern Nigeria. The insecurity in this part of Nigeria is caused mainly by the clamp down on Biafran agitators by security agents. The truth is that they overlook the nefarious activities of Fulani Herdsmen: which include destruction of farmlands, r**e, murders and kidnappings. Instead those compromised security agents, go for agitators, who are resisting those disguised hoodlums.

Some State Governors here are spending a lot to fight ‘insecurity’. Yet there is no tangible result. They spend billions buying armoured vehicles and logistics for Police and Military. As well, they hire militants who are not indigenes at exorbitant fees, and convert them to so-called vigilantes. And the burning of homes, shops, and other properties continue unchecked. The money being spent on these coalition of forces against agitators, is more than enough to pay thousands of workers and pensioners owed for years, especially in Imo State. Let them know IPOB and ESN are not monsters. They are humane. You are in full support of Palestinian freedom; as well as Polisaro separation from Morocco. Agitation for self-determination of any aggrieved group, is supported by UN charter on human rights. If they clamp down on people, It can cause the agitators to go underground, like what happened during apartheid regime in South Africa.

Sir, I would like you to investigate thoroughly, the kidnap incidence of Nigerian Methodist Prelate on May 2022. He and two occupants in his car were abducted by Fulani Herdsmen, who doubled as kidnappers. They tortured and beat them mercilessly. Those armed robbers insisted on 100 million naira ransom, which was paid later before their release.

Their abductors revealed a lot surrounding their kidnap business in Nigeria. Some of them are from Sudan, Mali and Songhai. They said 50 million naira (half of the money), would go to their sponsors. These are highly placed individuals who provide them with arms and ammunition, among other logistics. Also, they narrated they are on a mission in Eastern Nigeria to kill the inhabitants, and take possession of their land. They would use the ransom money to stockpile weapons for the forthcoming attack. They said further they were all waiting for go ahead order from their Northern elite, for the go ahead for the massive attack. The Prelate’s deposition is well recorded on YouTube, for anybody to access. As well, find out why soldiers deployed to the East ignore the criminal activities of many Fulani Herdsmen. Instead, insecurity is blamed solely on our people who are resisting them.

We want to state clearly, we have been co-existing peacefully with Fulanis and other Northerners, before the sponsored infiltration of our communities and forests. A lot of them engage in legitimate business: like selling of clothes, food stuffs like rice and beans. We buy from them regularly. Also they move around residential areas to buy “Iron kwondem” (condemned iron). They like to live their normal, simple lifestyle. They are only being pushed into armed conflicts and taking over of people lands, by their Northern elite, for selfish, political ambitions. They are easily brainwashed.

Our people are peace loving and humane. Anybody who claims Igbo people want to kill Hausa or Fulani, is not telling the truth. We know our main problem is not with the peasant Fulanis living among us, but those elite sponsoring and gingering them. We therefore call for a change of attitude. Find out those behind Fulani invasion of our communities and forests.

Finally, we would like you to live behind a legacy cherished by the people. Right now, people are suffering terribly in this country Nigeria. Importation of finished petroleum products into the country, isn’t helping maters. All rulers of this country both past and present, are guilty of neglecting our local refineries. Something has to be done for Nigeria to be refining crude oil. The importation has caused hike in prices of refined products, with ever increasing cost of goods and services. Naira is becoming more and more worthless.

Use your position to pay backlog of salaries and pensions. Multitude Federal pensioners are owed for more than ten years. Check the impunity of some state Governors. Some of them owe workers and pensioners for years.

We would like you to address the gross neglect and exclusion of Igbos, in the scheme of things. Even when you collected loan from China sometime ago, South East was completely excluded from development projects associated with the loan. If all these issues are addressed, they will go a long way in easing tension and making the country a better place to live in.

Yours Sincerely,

Evangelist Joseph U. Afurobi.

Give Young People Chance to Rule.

Nigeria is a country that recycles old and expired people in power. They hang on to power until they either die, or are kicked out of their positions. They don’t want to allow the younger, and more energetic persons to bring dynamic leadership.

Nigerian political office holders, recycle themselves, children, and close relatives in positions of authority. They lord it over the masses. Rulers in the country are more or less parasites; who impoverish the people they are suppose to carter for. Wolves in sheep clothing!

Our mostly old and ageing political office holders, are spent forces. They have nothing new or innovative to offer the populace. Rather, they are obsessed with the idea of accumulating stolen wealth; for themselves and their descendants yet unborn.

You see a semi-illiterate or stark illiterate “money bag”, recruiting University graduates as his political thugs. He uses people who are mostly more intelligent, resourceful, and educated than him, to do his dirty jobs.

They keep on falsifying their ages, in order to hold on tenaciously to public offices. You see somebody almost as old as Methuselah celebrating 50th or 60th birthday. Even when their hands and legs are shaking like persons with Parkinson disease, they won’t leave the stage. They are grooming their children and grand children to take over from them.

Sometime ago, Nigerian Ambassador to US, died at the age of 82 years. If it were in a well organized country, somebody about half his age should be occupying that position. Similar situations are applicable, in all organs of governance in the country. Our taskmasters (sorry rulers) are in their eighties, and claiming otherwise. They employ their age mates to sit tight in positions of trust. They recall those old men and women who retired from service longtime ago.

Young and promising people hardly have any future in Nigeria; unless they are closely related to high-ranking public office holders. The elite hold the country to ransom. The youths have been relegated to the background. No jobs. The juicy jobs are being reserved for the elite, their children, and close relatives. When they advertise for job opportunities, they impose age limits for applicants as low as 27 to 30 years. They actually reserve such plumb jobs for their teenage children studying abroad. By the time the children finish their M.Sc. and PhD programmes, they are still in their twenties. Meanwhile, their counterparts with poor background in Nigeria, are battling with incessant strikes and other disruptions in school systems. Children of these elite, come back to take up the juicy jobs on a platter of gold; most times without even attending job interviews. Our rulers are very wicked!

Young and ordinary people cannot contest elections in Nigeria, due to money politics here. You need to have millions or wealthy sponsors, even if you are contesting for councillorship position in Local Government Elections. Else, a money bag will beat you hands down, or rig you out of the election! There is enthronement of mediocrity in the place of merit and hard work. That is why, a councilor earns more than a University Professor in our land.

How can the country move forward, and compare favourably with other progressing nations, when we are held hostage by corrupt, ageing, illiterate and incompetent rulers? We don’t have leaders but rulers. They spend millions or billions to rig themselves to power. Then, they go for billions or trillions through bribery, or outright stealing from the treasury.

Take a look at our legislators. Many of them don’t actually know why they are in the legislative houses. They sleep and while away time. Few of them engage in quality debates, or contributions on the house floor. They wait for the time of voting and bribery, in order to sell their votes to the highest bidders. Many of them come up with retrogressive bills; which are against the welfare of masses, they claim to be representing. For instance, a senator from Niger State presented a bill to the National Assembly, for the prohibition of sale and use of generators in Nigeria. He stipulated a fine and imprisonment for violators.

Such ignorant and ill-educated persons, shouldn’t be elected into office. The executive arm is worst hit by these charlatans. How can somebody who doesn’t have primary or secondary school certificates, rule a whole country, and you expect peace and progress to reign there?

Let the old brigades give way to the young ones. There are people, who have been participating in governance of this country since 1960s. They are still in power and refuge to leave. They have been looting the country for decades.

This country doesn’t need a PhD holder to change if for good. We need honest persons who don’t have high sounding paper qualifications to transform it. Almost all great leaders of nations don’t have PhDs. Even M.Sc. holders among them are rare. They are mostly B.Sc holders. Let them go to the schools and teach, involve in researches and inventions. In Nigeria, many people with high paper qualifications in public offices are rogues! They ground any industry or company they head. You see moribund industries scattered all over the place.

We support the minimum qualification of HND, for anybody contesting any elective position in the country. It will help to bring sanity to the system. A bill passed by the National Assembly sometime ago, stipulates HND for only offices of President, Vice President, Governor and Deputy Governor. It should be extended to all elective offices; including those of councilors and legislators. It will go a long way to ensure good governance. All these killings across the country, bad governance, and impunity, will drastically reduce.

There will be no room for mediocrity in the emerging Biafra nation. Biafra will be a model for many African countries. Anybody that claims termites and cockroaches, ate his primary and secondary school certificates, while he was fast asleep, won’t have a place in governance of Biafra. https://powertrumpeter.org/blog1/?p=1046.

Emulate Ortom Community Vigilantes

We commend Governor Ortom of Benue State, for providing formidable volunteer guards, to stop the menace of Fulani armed gangs, most of whom camouflage as cattle rearers. We recommend other state Governors, especially in South Eastern States to copy from him.

For several years in office, he lamented the wanton destruction of lives and property in Benue state, on daily basis. Nigerian President and his Government, didn’t care to listen or come to his rescue. The Fulanis were killing, ra**ng, destroying farmlands, and dispossessing the indigenes of their communal land with impunity. Many of those Fulani marauders, were imported from some West African countries. Some Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camps, sprang up to take in influx of refugees displaced by Fulanis.

Nigerian Fulani Government never sent soldiers, or other security agents to stop the bloodbath. There was a conspiracy of silence against the people. But, when the youths there initially organized themselves into guards, to resist the onslaught of those armed robbers, Nigerian Authorities quickly dispatched soldiers to stop the youths. Many of them were arrested and turned to accused. They stopped them in order to pave way for the Fulanis, to continue with their mayhem.

Then, Governor Ortom took the bull by the horn. He called for volunteer vigilantes, and got them well trained and equipped. He sought and got legislative backing from State Assembly. Recently, he launched the outfit in public. And the personnel have fully swung into action. They are making huge successes, in bringing the bloodshed in the state under control. These volunteers have arrested thousands of cattle; so many Fulani Terrorists. Boko Haram members have been apprehended for their involvement in the carnage. It has been congratulation galore, for Government and people of Benue state. Had it been they continued, to wait for Nigerian Government to come and rescue them, from being wiped out by Fulanis; it would have been a matter of time for them to perish.

Hypocritical Nigerian rulers don’t talk about ‘insecurity’ in Benue State, as they do in Biafra land. This is because the Governor there is not their stooge. He doesn’t want the Fulanis, and their kinsmen controlling the country, to kill law abiding citizen in Benue. He’s very different from the puppet Governors in Eastern Nigeria. He doesn’t collude with compromised Nigerian security agents, to burn people’s houses, shops, or indiscriminate arrests and detention of youths: which are very rampant in the Biafra land, especially Imo state. The vigilante group he formed is well known to the people. Of course, their leaders are indigenes of the states. They are not being used against their own people, to please those at Abuja. Same thing is applicable to ”Omotekum” organized by Yoruba State Governors and other prominent people there.

The case is quite different here in South East states. Our Governors and top politicians here are sycophants, who are ready to ride on the back of people they supposed to protect and care for, to achieve their selfish political ambitions. They allow soldiers to bring in fighter jets to bomb villages and kill people, as well as using armoured tanks. If you go to Izombe and some other parts of Imo State, people’s houses and shops are being burnt regularly. Their offence is being sympathetic to IPOB. In this part of the country Fulani terrorists are being shielded, while the hunt for freedom agitators continues. Government owned mortuaries are filled up with dead bodies, mostly youths whose lives have been cut short.

Now, people are being encouraged to build mortuaries. They are springing up at alarming rate in Igbo land. And many people are expressing concern. There is no industrial development going here. No jobs for the youths. This geo-political zone has the highest rate of graduate unemployment. The place is practically excluded from the scheme of things by this present Federal Government.

We therefore call for a change of attitude. Our Governors and other boot lickers, should stop allowing themselves to be used against their own people. A lot of people have been brutalized, killed ,and rendered homeless, since soldiers invaded our land. Soldiers have brutalised youths for asking Fulani Herdsmen to leave their farmland after destroying crops. Why are they ignoring Fulani Jihadists, who have come to take over our land? Let them fear God Almighty; the creator of the whole universe. God said, “The righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him. And the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him” _Ezekiel 18:20. https://powertrumpeter.org/blog2/fulani-invasion-bone-of-contention.

Obigbo Massacre and R**e.We call on International Criminal Court (ICC), to arrest and prosecute Governor Wike of Rivers ...
02/10/2022

Obigbo Massacre and R**e.

We call on International Criminal Court (ICC), to arrest and prosecute Governor Wike of Rivers State in Nigeria, for the atrocities he committed against the people of Obigbo in his state.

During the End-SARS protests nationwide, in the year 2020, the pig-headed Governor invited security agents, comprising of Military and Police, to deal ruthlessly with protests going on at Obigbo, Biafran land. Before then, he imposed 24-hour curfew in the area. That enabled the heartless security agents, to enter the territory with ease to: kill, arrest, as well r**e women and girls there. It was a horrible incidence.

The barbaric action of the Governor, was politically motivated. He was desperate to please his Fulani overlords in Abuja, by demonstrating his hatred for Igbos. Igbos in any part of Nigeria, are regarded as endangered species, after the Nigerian civil war, that ended in January 1970. Himself denied being an Igbo, though he is. He claimed that although his name sounded like Ibo name, he is not an Igboman. Even, he said igbos are cursed people in Nigeria. But, his kinsmen lambasted him denying his identity, and destruction inflicted on the people. Only a prodigal son denies his root.

Most of the women and girls captured in their respective homes, by terrorists-infested Nigeria soldiers, were r***d. A lot of people including the youths in the area, were arrested and detained in various prisons in Northern Nigeria. Many of them were tortured to death there. This action aided and abetted by the Governor of Rivers state, is part of ethnic cleansing against Igbos going on in the country.

It could be recalled that Obigbo was part and parcel of Imo/Abia territory. Shortly after the war, Nigerian military juntas annexed it to Rivers State. They balkanized Igboland, and ceded many communities to other states outside our land, like Benue and Kogi State. They did so for selfish and political reasons; to create false impression Igboland is land-locked. Nigerian Northern-dominated Governments are doing everything possible, to subjugate and depopulate the Igbos for decades now. These Easterners are the same everywhere: whether in Delta, Rivers, or Benue States. The dialects may differ; but we are the same. All languages have dialects. Ours should not be an exception. Our oppressors and wicked masters want to divide and rule us. They will eventually fail woefully.

All those involved in the abominable acts in Obigbo, must be brought to justice; no matter how long it takes. The women and girls released after months in detention, complained they were serially r***d by their captors. What happened at Obigbo, was far more abominable and despicable than that of Lekky Tollgate. The latter was probed by Lagos State Government; and findings made public. Of course, Nigerian soldiers were indicted for indiscriminate shooting and killing of people. They complained orders came from Abuja, the seat of power. Wike cannot probe the shameful acts in his state, due to his complicity in the matter. Time of reckoning will surely come.

If they escape the judgement of men; they can never escape the judgement of God. The General Officer Commanding (GOC), who sent troops that wrecked the havoc, died mysteriously. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. The LORD said, “The righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him. And the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him”—Ezekiel 18:20. The wicked shall never go unpunished!

Reaction of Nigerian security agents to peaceful protests is very bad. The other time, soldiers deployed to enforce curfew in Warri, during corona virus epidemic, boasted publicly they would r**e females in the area, and do whatever they liked, to bring the people to subjection. So-called repentant terrorists and bandits are being massively recruited into the Armed Forces and Police; then sent to southern part of the country to commit despicable acts. The crux of the matter, is that our leaders at the top are bad and wicked. When the head is sick, it affects the rest parts of the body.

Nigerian security system, is plagued by mediocrity and ill-education of personnel. Show me anywhere else in the world, where soldiers will invade a community, destroy property, r**e women and girls, among other heinous crimes, and get away with it? Nigerian security agencies are infested with stark illiterates, terrorists and bandits, who have been brainwashed to hate and deal with Southerners, especially Igbos with impunity.

Nevertheless, we thank God for the emergence of pro-Biafran groups like IPOB, ESN and others. They are the reason why Fulanis-sponsored terrorists, have not been able to overrun our land. When the chips are down, Igbos in any part of Nigeria, will no long be endangered species. Those who masterminded the massacre and r**e in Obigbo, can never get away with it. They must be brought to justice. Above all their wickedness will haunt them for the rest of their lives! https://powertrumpeter.org/?p=246.
