Meet Grey!! In episode 113: I Am Boy, we talk about “body stuff”. Yet, very quickly veer off script. (Jk there is no script!) Grey generously answers my questions about what Trans means to them, and shares so much of their life story.

Grey and I met in a spirituality-forward book club. Sooo we couldn’t help but deep dive into the connection (separation?) between body and spirit. Grey had a lot of (hard won) wisdom to offer about self devotion, belonging, and our capacity to feel the divine.

Episode 104. Phantom or Foe?
We did a paranormal “investigation” at Dawns house, and I thought you’d like to see the scene!
1. Dawns “closet room” where our phantom friend gets a little spicy. (Peep the non-threatening manakin in the corner.)
2. The closet, out of which shoes launch out of their box and into the room. (See the shoe boxes? HOW could they do that??)
3. Chads impressively folded t-shirt drawer. (Organized husband of Dawn.)

One thing that’s been super fun putting out the last two “paranormal” episodes is discovering that everyone has a story!
They start out with “no, not really….” and then they go “actually, theres this one thing when I was 8…”. And then they tell me a bonkers ghost story.

Just joshin. You don’t have to spend your life ❤️ing social media.
On episode 101 we talk about what I’ve learned in 4 years of podcasting. And what I find annoying, which is predominantly Promoting Yourself on Social Media. It’s hard. I don’t get it. I don’t want to make reels.
Basically my Gen X soul is inclined to rebel against the control SM plays in all areas of life. I want to make a cool flyer for this show and tape it to a light pole. 🎸
I also know this is how it works now, so don’t be an old fogey about it.

How many “um”s have been said in 101 episodes of this show? So so many. I try to cut them out so we sound smarter and you don’t poke your ears out. But alas, some make it in.

In the newest episode Cory interviews ME (Abbey) about what it’s been like producing 100 episodes. And this is how I discovered I also say “Right?” after every statement I make.
Thats obnoxious, right? ✂️✂️

SCREAM
On episode 99 Dee Dee is back, sharing some of the harrowing experiences she has faced. We talk about strategies we have used to deescalate or address tricky and dangerous situations.

One she learned in a self defense class is, if you feel uncomfortable, just SCREAM. Like you mean it.
Shes used that one in a Subway.

I assume you’re not in immediate physical danger but, what do you want to SCREAM about right now?

Dawn’s diary was her best friend, and therapist. She wrote like she wanted it to be found after her death and made into the next great novel.
It’s gloriously cringey! And you get to hear some of the highlights on ✨episode 98. Dear Dee Dee!✨
