Whenever I get wrapped up in thinking ‘release the first issue of Dialogue NOW, just get it out…’ I remind myself of why I’m doing this project. It’s years in the making and it’s not just something I want to create just to create. Of course creating is crucial to me as a being, but this project is about sharing others’ stories and more.

My relationship with coffee is always changing and growing, so Dialogue will morph as well. In the past months when I go to coffee shops, I’m reminded of my early days of exploring cafes, using any side money I had to spend on coffee. Dialogue is about both the coffee and the people, both fueling each other in so many ways. I’m meeting new people almost weekly lately just because of coffee and that is truly special. There’s such a huge human aspect to coffee and it helps me to remind myself that this first issue will take time and that’s totally fine. and fab.

To be honest, it’s tricky managing to have enough content to post here for Dialogue, while also gathering the last pieces for the first print issue, among other things. I took this photo upstate at an Airbnb that truly let me escape everything. (It was literally off the grid and they didn’t have wifi.) It was amazingggg. My head felt truly cleared. ☕️✨The first issue is under way and this is a reminder to get off the grid for any amount of time or just go for a walk. Also listen to Beyoncé’s new album if you’re not already 🪩
