Severe weather in our area today! Pay close attention! Tornado ingredients will be in the air.

As you all know, meteorologists all over the Southeast United States including myself are watching a tropical system along the northern part of South America heading into the Caribbean Sea. This system is projecting to be a major hurricane in the coming days. All of the models are expecting this system to track towards the Gulf of Mexico in which this system could more than likely gain lots of storm energy. Please keep a close watch on this!

Models showing severe weather for our area in the next couple days. Looking at hail and damaging winds to be the highest factor and we cannot rule out a possible tornado. Make sure you know what to do if any severe storm comes! I’ll have more info tomorrow with the time frame and how severe these storms can be!

We are looking at a severe weather outbreak tomorrow for much of Mississippi, parts of Alabama & Louisiana with tornado ingredients coming together to be long tracked devastating tornadoes. Wind will be a major factor throughout much of the area as well with these storms. We will have more information later on this evening.

Tornado warnings were spawning up in Texas yesterday and Mississippi today. This storm system moves in to our area early Wednesday morning. Time frame between 3a-11a.

Our first spring weather system moves into our area Wednesday morning with potential of strong thunderstorms! Will be watching this system closing tomorrow. So far, most of the upstate is under a Level 2 threat.

I know I havent been been on here in a while now but I will do my best for this type of season due to the jet stream getting ready to move around. Hey everybody I just want to come on here and apologize for not keeping you updated with the weather. With me working a lot lately, it’s kinda hard to keep you guys informed. I will do a better job starting on August 9th. What I will do with the weather everyday is I will will the average temp for the day for all Upstate SC counties. I will also post radar information if any storms are in our area and track hurricane maps for you guys since our season of hurricanes is starting up! But if you can, please be patient with me! It’s April which means we are at the peak of tornado season here in the Southeast. No active weather going now but if storms are predicting, pay very close attention to them. Atmosphere is unstable during this time.

Hey everybody, I would like to apologize about not keeping you guys updated about the weather earlier. I was at work during the time the storms came through. Was a lil scary but nothing happened except trees down around Laurens & Union Counties. Another line of storms are expected to be around 4am tmw morning with potential of being severe. So keep your weather radios on alert and phones on just in case anything pops up. Again, I apologize for not keeping you guys updated earlier. Safe to say that our area is no longer under a severe weather threat today. Had one tornado warning for Spartanburg and Cherokee Co. but no damage with that or tornado on the ground. For the rest of the evening, it’ll be sunny skies and windy.
