Larry and Lisa’s “Wedding In Waders”🎣🩵💍

I’ll preface by saying that I do wildlife and landscape photography almost exclusively, and capturing people is definitely not in my usual wheelhouse, but I was honored when my mom asked me to shoot her wedding at Lake Taneycomo!!

If you know anything about these two, you know that if it’s not a hunting season, you’ll find them trout fishing in the cool beautiful emerald green waters of Lake Taneycomo in Branson, MO. What better place to get married than in a place so dear to their hearts, surrounded by their family, friends and the fishing community they’ve grown close to along the way!!

Lucky for me, it felt only natural shooting in such a beautiful setting within nature. And take a wild guess as to who I got my love of the outdoors from as well 😉

It was the most beautiful day with the most beautiful couple.

Larry, Lisa, you both inspire me and many many others with your love for eachother, wildlife conservation and the great outdoors.

Congrats on finally tying the knot(ya, ya, the fishing lure kind too🎣)!!!!!

These guys are a little older, I made them for our bus page about a year ago! “Live small, love big” quickly became our motto for our bus/minimalist/ debt free living/spend more time loving others journey. I had a blast creating this emblem/logo/sticker design, and it was one of the first projects I ever worked on! Hopefully soon I will actually get around to getting them made into stickers!🤪

Out on our hike the other day I told my husband, “I don’t think I could do bird photography, I think it would bore me.”

5 minutes later I captured a shot of this beautiful Red-Headed Woodpecker and immediately responded, “I take back what I said!”

Did you know that one of the Red-Headed Woodpeckers nicknames is “flying checker board”? So funny!

Definitely one of my favorite flat art pieces I’ve done so far. I merged a picture of my mom with one of her turkey harvests with a picture of my grandpa with one of his in the 80’s. He is no longer with us, he passed when I was a baby and before my mom really got into hunting, but I know he is with her on every hunt!🤍

La Jolla, CA / 2018

I will be shocked if the day ever comes where this is not in my top 5 favorite photos I’ve captured of all time. I remember this moment like it was yesterday. I went to La Jolla with some friends for the day, back when I was going to college in southern California. I had just bought my first camera and the way the photos came out for someone who had barely had a handle on how to fully work it yet made me so giddy! I remember pinching myself for not buying a camera sooner, but was so excited for the road ahead. And even still, the picture hardly does justice for the beauty God was displaying that day!
