🌸 No.3 Hair Perfector

I've been getting my hair highlighted for quite a few years and as much as I've been taking care of it the best I can I still felt my hair looked dry and damaged. My hairdresser recommended trying Olaplex and I honestly wish I tried it sooner, after the first use I noticed a massive difference in the health of my hair. My curls look and feel stronger, softer and much more bouncy. If you colour your hair or have chemical/heat damage I would definitely recommend adding this product to your collection, you won't be disappointed!

🌸 No.4 Bond Maintenance Shampoo

I love this shampoo, it lathers up beautifully - a little goes a long way! Gentle on my scalp, cleanses and is very moisturising.

🌸 No.5 Bond Maintenance Conditioner

Curly hair is naturally drier than other hair types and with getting my hair highlighted to the mix this conditioner is perfect for rehydrating and strengthening my hair. You only need a small amount and detangling is a dream!!

Overall Olaplex is a miracle in a bottle! It is a little pricey but honestly it's worth the money. My hair looks and feels so much stronger and the products last!

Sweet Hibiscus Curl Volumizing Foam

I've been using this product for around 6 months and it has not disappointed! If you have fine curly hair this is definitely a must have.

I sometimes struggle with getting the right balance of definition and volume and I've found I can achieve both without weighing my hair down or looking greasy.

It's very moisturising, creates soft bouncy voluminous curls with a good hold. I love using this product in both my wash day and refresh routine, see below how I use the foam:

🌸 Wash Day - Apply 2-3 pumps to damp hair, smooth down your hair and scrunch. I then apply gel after for extra hold. Plop hair for 20/30mins and then diffuse.

⭐ TIP ⭐ During the winter months I'll add leave in conditioner before the foam for extra moisture - curly hair is prone to be much drier in winter so this will help keep your curls stay moisturised.

🌸 Refresh - Apply lightly to dry hair to help refresh your curls.

I'm obsessed with this washday! I can't get over the volume and definition. Having fine curly hair I always struggle to balance the right amount of volume without losing too much definition. So far I've found the Flora & Curl Haircare volumizing foam paired with the curl defining gel gives the right balance for me.

Only Curls coming through again with another curly game changer in time for summer! I've not worn a baseball cap in years because of the faff of my curls after I take it off. The tangles and frizz just was not worth it!

This cap is satin lined to help protect curls and skin from the sun, reduce tangling and frizzing. The back opening has plenty of room for a high and low ponytail!

S O T C

If you are new to the curly community I'm sure there are lots of words or phrases that you've never heard of! SOTC probably being one of them. Scrunch out the crunch” is sometimes shortened to SOTC.

Usually when you use a gel you create a cast that will feel crunchy and stiff. Once your hair is dry pop a few drops of oil in your hands and scrunch from the bottom of your hair to the roots - If you're like me and oils don't always work for you what I tend to use is a small blob of the leave in or curl creme I've used in my wash routine and repeat this for each section of my hair.

You should start to feel the cast releasing some of the hold to give your curls more life and volume!

⭐ TIP ⭐
Avoid SOTC when your hair is wet or slightly damp. Doing this will cause unwanted frizz and will leave your curls less defined

C O - W A S H R E V I E W

When I found out Only Curls launched a co-wash I was so excited I just had to try it! They kindly me the co-wash and I've been testing it out on my curls recently.

Firstly the co-wash has the most gorgeous fresh citrus and coconut scent, it's not overpowering - I'm obsessed!

The product is a creamy light consistency and I use around 4-6 pumps of this product. I found the co-wash to be quite cleansing (I washed my hair around day 7 so I did have some build up), it didn't strip away any moisture and was good to detangle with. The co-wash left my hair and scalp feeling moisturised and cleansed.

I would definitely recommend for curlies with dry hair or wanting a routine with no shampoo.
