Some unseen vultures are roaming around the garments sector of Bangladesh. For the past few weeks, protests have been common phenomena around epzs around the country. From 9 to 11 Sep, there have been several incidents of violence around a dozen garment factories. Net-ware is a prominent sector of Bangladesh's foreign trade that has been stumbling over the last 3 months. First there was a liquidity problem among banks, which was hindering timely deliveries, and now there are some protests. Financial conditions will take time to be normal again, but security of our economic zones has become a pressing need.

Chinese troops (people's liberation army) have seen infiltrating into Indian territory. As per local residents of Anjaw district of Arunachal Pradesh, there was a camping site in Kapapu, which is 30 km inside Indian territory. Since 2018, there have been several occasions of China's setting up base camps and building permanent infrastructure inside India. Arunachal shares a 1,126-km border with China, out of the total 3,488-km Sino-India border.

What is the Universal Pension Scheme in Bangladesh?

The majority of Bangladeshis believe that government jobs are secure in terms of social security after retirement. This benefit was only available to government, semi-autonomous, and autonomous institute employees. However, with this latest news, anyone living below the poverty line with an annual income of 60,000TK can now join in this scheme.
As a result, after 10 years of payments, they can collect up to 15000 TK every month. The government has implemented the Progoti, Surokkha, Somota, and Probash plans to attract residents from all walks of life into the pension system.

UK's Developing Countries Trading Schemes (DCTS) what to highlight?

The DCTS is revised form of Generalized System of Preference (GSP). With new System it a very good news for lower Developing Countries. DCTS is emphasizing on more trade between countries bnifiting from GSP. DCTS is coming with the following reformation

- reduces tarriff (Customs duties on merchandise imports are called tariffs.)
- liberlise rule of origin requirements
- simplify conditions
As a result , 18 new countries marked lower income, lower middle income countries by WORLD BANK are added to this system. Prior to that 58 Least Developed Countries were beneifiting from GSP system. Now Country like Bangladesh can save up to $315 million a year.
