Have you ever sat down near a river, listened to the sound of the water flowing, felt the wind pass through, and wondered how life seems similar to a river?

Well, I have.

I spent my Saturday at a farmhouse close to a river. It was the perfect place to take a break from the noise of the metro, so I made sure to enjoy the view, nature, and its breathtaking, calming vibes.

While I watched the river and took videos of it, I couldn’t help but reflect on how it is similar to life sometimes.

Beneath the water are rocks—they represent the experiences and challenges we have faced throughout our journey. These are the problems that are thrown at us.

Some are small, hidden beneath the flow, while others are large and visible to others—just like some wounds can’t be hidden, yet they become part of us anyway.

Sometimes, they even make us more powerful and beautiful.

Surrounding the river are trees, which symbolize your support system. Their roots anchor and guide you, keeping you grounded and steady.

And you (or we), my friends, are the water, continuously flowing forward, never in reverse. People may throw rocks on your journey, sometimes even trash, but you continue to flow in one direction—toward where you are meant to be.

Even if some trees fall away, new ones will grow, just as some people will come to watch you and then eventually leave. Yet, you never stop flowing toward your destination.

Just like the water in a river, let nothing hold you back from reaching your purpose in life. Let the wounds and pains push you to become more powerful, but also try to be calm, because your goal is to reach your destination. You can’t be stuck. Keep moving forward.

Be calm and know that every rock you pass through is part of your adventure, it’s not your final destination. You are meant for something bigger, you are meant to reach the ocean.

As I end my stream of wisdom for today, I hope you realize that as you go through the flow of life, some rocks will be thrown at you. You’ll be disturbed on the surface just like the water splashes.

But just like the water in the river, what matters most is to never let these rocks stop you from going in the direction you want to go.

Keep flowing forward. :)

𝗔𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗠𝗶𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗲, 𝗔𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲.

We took our son on an out-of-town trip to celebrate his 2nd birthday.

In my latest blog post, I shared how we celebrated another milestone for our not-so-little-baby-anymore.

And more of these:

- Where we stayed in Subic Zambales (an affordable beachfront resort accommodation for family stays)
- Why we opted for a simple Travel Experience as a Gift rather than a new Toy
- Unlocking a new milestone: learning to be independent in little ways
- Why we value collecting memories, not just things

We recently enrolled our son in a Musical Playschool for 2 reasons.

👉One is because he is very interested in music at his age. He likes guitar. He loves to sing (kahit di ko maintindihan ano kinakanta nya :D) and he likes to dance through the song’s rhythm.

We thought musical playschool was a good idea to strengthen and develop his interests. and we are right :)

👉Two is so he could have socialization activities with other kids his age.

Usually, kami lang ng papa nya ang kalaro nya sa house. We believe it would also be good for toddlers to play with other children of the same age as it also helps them learn new words and other stuff.

After the 4 weekly sessions, we can see how it helps him become even more of an active kid as he learns and plays.

It’s fascinating how he slowly becomes a storyteller every time I ask her about what he did at school. He would tell me they dance, clap, color, sing, and he would sing songs na kinakanta nila sa school even though twice nya palang narinig. He would always be excited to show his stamp to his grandparents at home.

He would look forward to going to playschool every Saturday. Pag pinag uusapan na namin yung activities nila, he would tell me ‘’go to teacher on Saturday’’.

Oh, and the teachers are so friendly and lovely, too. Our baby boy never felt left out kahit minsan di sya agad nagpaparticipate.

So here are 5 things we love about his experience with Musical Circle Time,
