Nice tech finds made for life on the move, that’s Satechi and their OntheGo™ line. 👏🏻

I’ve used some of their earlier gear, but these new additions are definite standouts, especially for working on the go.

A robot cat counts as tech, right? That's me justifying this purchase and I'm sticking to it. 😅

It's that nostalgia hit when I spotted this Figure-rise Mechanics Doraemon from BandaiHobby at a shop in Japan. Though it was released back in 2017, the intricate details and fun gimmicks still hold up beautifully to modern standards.

The kit has a nice 10cm scale with poseable head and arms, but the real magic is in the build itself.

You start by assembling Doraemon's mechanical internal frame before adding the outer shell, and here's where it gets cool: you can choose between an opaque shell for that classic anime look, or a transparent one for an ultra-cool see-through tech vibe.

I actually held this kit at one shop and let it go, thinking I wouldn't need it. But when it appeared at another shop, it felt like it was calling me. So here it is!

Would be amazing if Doraemon was real, right? Got me wondering how much easier life would be. 😅

Practice Makes Perfect 💪🏻

I was filming something the other night with a top-down setup and had a quick idea I wanted to try. If you’ve done a top-down setup before, you know it takes some effort to set up, so I thought, why not make the most out of it?

Enter: Stop Motion. 🏃🏻

Of all the things I’ve wanted to practice, I went with stop motion. Lol. It’s one of those techniques that demand precision, and I’ll admit, I was nervous to try it without a solid plan. So I just went with whatever came to mind.

The result? A complete fail… but one I managed to salvage. 😅

Why a fail? 1️⃣ I forgot to pull focus on the part where the phone was lifted, and 2️⃣ the movement alignment was a bit sloppy. The idea was there, I just needed more control and consistency.

But hey, practice makes perfect. It’s through exercises like this that we catch our mistakes, improve, and do better next time.

Still, I really enjoyed this little experiment. Glad I turned that late-night idea into a short clip that’s kinda fun to watch! 👀

One week in with the iPhone 17 Pro, and here are some of my thoughts so far. 📱

The performance boost and fresh battery are a no-brainer, it's a clear jump in speed and smoothness, especially coming from an older device. ⚡

Camera performance has been a pleasant surprise, noticeably clearer and sharper than the 14 Pro. I'm especially digging the 4x and 8x telephoto lenses, stabilization on those is insane. 📸

Thermal management seems to hold up too. It feels a lot cooler even after shooting tons of photos and videos during a work event, though I'd still like to test it more over time. 🔥

Overall, this feels like a big leap coming from the iPhone 14 Pro. I've long treated that phone as a creative tool, and with the 17 Pro's new set of cameras and upgrades, I'm excited to see how it pushes things even further. 🚀
