It’s me and my wife as doodles by .film ✨

The first time I saw China's work, I just knew I had to commission her to create a piece for us in her unique style. ✍🏻

And with our epic first trip to Japan late last year, it’s the perfect piece to remember our awesome time there. 🇯🇵

Gotta give props to Chai for her eye for detail. She nailed everything, from our couple outfits down to the tiny accessories on our doodle versions. She even noticed I had a water bottle in my backpack in one of the reference photos hence me holding a water bottle as we walk. As Chai put it: "Gotta stay hydrated on vacay!" 🥤

Brighten up your day with Sunflowers and Daffodils! 🌻☀️

We've been all about LEGO lately, so we picked up the Sunflower and Daffodil individual sets. The Botanical Collections are a bit on the pricey side, so we opted for these instead! 😅

Love how color coordinated the petals are between these two sets. We arranged them in a jar with some brown paper cutouts, and we got ourselves a charming little home decor that adds a warm touch with its vibrant yellow hues. 💛

Who knew Lego flowers could look this good? They sure make a fantastic addition to any interior! ✨

A quick look on the space lately. ☺️

We’ve rearranged some stuff and reorganized items, felt like a refreshing way to kick off the year. 🧼

My creative space is half of a working area/shooting space and our living room. It may be small, but it’s great to have room to move around, especially when filming. 📸

We’ve added a ton of collectibles, tokens, and mementos, and by that I mean A LOT. It’s heartwarming to see all the things we cherish and reminisce about our memories as we glance around. 🥹

It can be a challenge, maintaining a minimalist lifestyle while collecting so many treasures, but it sure is fun! They hold a special meaning to us after all, so I think we’re doing just fine. 😅

When it comes to content creation, you can take two routes: 1. Go with the flow and shoot as you go, or 2. Plan ahead with a shot list as your guide 📸

Personally, I'm all about preproduction! From scripting to creating shot lists, I love these steps because it feels like I'm already building out the edit in my mind—even before picking up the camera. As Adrian Per coined it, it's the "Paper Edit" ✍🏻

I'll be honest, there are times when I skip this step but whenever I'm struggling to come up with ideas for a shoot, mood boards always come in handy to save the day. 🧠

As said from Austin Kleon's book, Steal Like an Artist, nothing is original, in fact, it's even said in the Bible: "There is nothing new under the sun." (Ecclesiastes 1:9)

It's a matter of getting those ideas, for the lack of a better word "stealing them" (lol), and putting our own spin on it.

Here is the mood board I did for a recent shoot with and their Geo Wallet. I really enjoyed capturing these shots, as the mood board played a key role in setting the tone for the entire shoot. Here are some key benefits of using mood boards in the creative process:

1️⃣ Set the direction
2️⃣ Visualize the ideas
3️⃣ Build the concept
4️⃣ Stay consistent within a theme

We have an upcoming trip that involves a lot of walking (any guesses?) so we thought of investing on a versatile pair of shoes.👟

After researching different brands, we came across On and their sleek performance shoes designed by athletes for athletes.

Got curious with all the hype, so we went on and tested out their Cloudsurfer Next shoes, which offer mid-level cushioning, standard lacing, and their signature Helion™ superfoam midsole for a nice and easy bounce.

Scored the 🔥 White Flame for the wifey, ☁️ Glacier White for me, these shoes are looking super clean and they're surprisingly lightweight!

Had to preserve it's new and pristine condition so I went ahead on another product photography and layout design session. Gotta exercise our photo and design skills once more!

Now that the photos are secured, I guess it's time to try them out and move with On. 🏃🏻

Quick shooting tip! 📸

I sometimes shoot the same sequence 4 times for variety and coverage (I only have 1 camera so I can’t do multicam. Lol)

The more shots the better but I think 4 feels like the sweet spot for flexibility. It’ll give enough options to play around in the edit.

Vinyls secured! Wifey got to meet HONNE up close and personal at their album signing here in Manila, and she was so excited getting our first two vinyls signed by Andy and James! ☺️

Honne’s music played a huge role in our relationship, it's something that we enjoy together. Free Love and Coming Home were actually the two songs we centered our wedding around. 👰🏻‍♀️🤵🏻

I'm so glad my wife managed to snag the final copy of a Let's Just Say the World Ended a Week from Now, What Would You Do? vinyl, and the guys gladly signed it for us too! 📀

This is such a special moment for my wife! Huge thanks to Ted Ellis for hosting the event. Now I just need to find the perfect record player for these! 😅

Make the most out of what you have, this has always been my approach to creativity and workspaces. 💡

By combining this mindset with minimalism and essentialism, I have found a harmonious balance of simplicity in my workflow and the tools I use to get things done.

I know for a fact that my home desk setup may seem a little on the opposite side, it has lots of stuff but each item serves a purpose. Those tools make my work easier and much more enjoyable, it's my personal workstation after all.

However, when I’m out and about, I think these 3 essential tools are the ultimate combo for achieving peak productivity. 👨🏻‍💻

And by utilizing Apple's ecosystem, you can trust that your devices will seamlessly work together, all in harmony. 😮‍💨

Here’s me wondering if is a thing. Anyways, sharing the latest state of my desk setup! 👨🏻‍💻

A setup I use for work, content creation, and a little bit of gaming on the side (Spot that Nintento Switch cleverly hidden at the far right. Work first before play as what I usually say. LOL).

Downsized a little on audio, I went for a 1-speaker setup featuring the Edifier Global D32, which I think is a nice retro looking speakers for the setup. 🔊

Upsized a bit too much on peripherals as I rock a 4-input setup with the Work_Louder Creator Micro, Velocifiretech Lucky65, Logitech Lift, and the Apple Magic Trackpad. I know it's too much, maybe I'll explain more on a Reel soon. 😅

Always going for the essentials, it's a pretty small desk, but here's to making more of what we have! ✨

It’s not about the camera, it's about who's pressing the shutter. 📸

I've had this camera for years. It has been the tool that taught me everything I know about shooting photos and videos. This camera kickstarted my journey into content creation.

It's wild to see how much I've pushed its limits and what I've achieved. Honestly, it could've been the best ROI in my life so far.

While upgrading is a bit of a luxury at the moment, as long as this bad boi works and I'm having fun, I think I'm fine.

Remember, it's not about the camera—it's how you wield it. Have fun shooting! 📸

PS: I'm no pro at this but a quick tip for better shots: Framing, composition, and lighting comes a long way—especially lighting! 💡
